Biography:

How does one tell an ordinary story in an extraordinary way? With magic of course.

It all began in a home in the centre of Wizarding France, where a rich magical environment and a loving family was raising a small child. The only child of their union, Fredrick and Alicia raised Elsie to live, love, and laugh until she cried - as they believed in. They doted on her as much as a busy family could, bringing home presents from trips, and candies from the bakery down the street. Careful not to spoil her, Elise also was to help her mother at the Soup Kitchen for the poor, and read stories to the younger kids at the library.

Muggles, they were called, like Mother. Alicia loved doing all of that, and was a frequent visitor in old-age homes with flowers, and hospitals with cards. She brought so much joy through her small acts, Elsie ached with the desire to do the same. She wanted people to smile widely when they saw her, and wait for her arrival to bring the happiness they were counting on.

Between running around the house, begging to be read more story-books, and napping in sunny spots, Elsie played the piano. She had sat on her father's lap to play it since she could hold her head up herself, but began playing at age six. Although she competed, Elsie mainly played for her own joy. She sat diligently in lessons from her father to play the piano, while her mother taught her school subjects and how to write creatively. The music followed soon after.

During her formal magical education at Beauxbatons, Elsie loved, lost, laughed, cried, and every emotion in between as she went from a child to a young woman, feeling like nothing would really change. She kissed, and teased, and smoked while running away from discipline, homework, and anything she couldn't have fun doing. The Beauxbatons girl excelled in Charms, the only thing she had taken an interest in, and managed to get by in everything else. It was a time of living while she had the time, and playing the piano all the times in between.

Now though, Elsie is older. Not more mature, or more prepared, but older. Things had most definitely changed, as her family had moved to London in her fourth year, though she had not spent much time there. She stayed with friends in France, or brought her friends to London. After school though, as she moved back to London, there was no one to come with her. She delayed growing up by travelling for a while, hopping around family and friends as best she could while denying the inevitable fate of settling down.

She was to find a real job that was more than a part-time stint at some entry-level place. Her parents would only help so much, and this was the year she had to take charge.

Let her story begin.

Roleplay:

Option 2.

Roleplay Response:
Elsie loved the snow. She loved the snow, the sun, the rain, the grass, the flowers. She just loved. Sticking her tongue out, Elsie tried in vain to catch a falling flake on it, wobbling in the crowd as she followed a couple to no avail. "Al-mosth-deree..." The snowflakes simply did not like her today, and Elsie was beginning to annoy some of the people around her as she bumped into them, trying to snatch up the cold drop at the last moment. It didn't take long for her to give up on the plight though, and simply follow the crowd.

Easy thing it was, following. She simply shuffled her feet along, and then gently nudged her way out as she neared her destination. She would have even called such a thing boring were it not for the plan she had in mind. Today the destination was St. Mungo's, visiting some of the sick with some cards her mother made. She hummed lightly, a new song she had begun last night. "La la la la, hmm hmm." It skipped all over the place, and barely had a continuing theme to it, but Elsie didn't seemed to notice as she tapped her wand against her leg absently to the non-existent beat.

"Coming through! Coming through! Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" came a loud voice from behind, coaxing the woman to cast a lazy glance behind herself. The elder could barely be seen midst the bobbing heads, but his parcel was much more prominent, hovering precariously over their heads. Elsie began to nudge and shuffle, trying to move over as they all trekked slowly down the hill. She did not wish to be hit smack on the head with whatever was in that box, as who would the deliver the cards if she was knocked out cold?

No one, that's who. And the patients would be quite distraught.

As Elsie was finally making progress (Merlin this crowd was a slow one), she heard one more thing before it all came crashing down. "Coming th--- arrrgh!" He hit her smack on the back, and the box barely missed her head as she teetered into the person in front of her. Elsie automatically flicked her wand towards the box, stopping it mid-air with a silent Wingardium Leviosa.

"Sorry!" she chirped to the lady who had swivelled with a glare, laughing nervously until the stranger huffed and moved off.

Once she had turned her attention to the crasher, Elsie only smiled. "Don't apologize," she said, waving away his excuses with her light French accent. "The snow cannot make itself less slippery, so there is no use cursing it," she added thoughtfully. "Here is your box, did you want help getting it to where you are going?" Elsie offered, moving the box between them to drop into her hands as she looked at the man.

She sat diligently in lessons from her father to play the piano, while her mother taught her school subjects and how to write creatively. The music followed soon after.

Her formal magical education began at Beauxbatons, the grand castle that taught beautiful witches and wizards exquisite magic. She loved the castle, the grounds, the birds, and her friends. She felt like nothing would change and she would be happy forever.

Until 1939, when her family re-located to London, and found it more suitable to send her to the renown Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A dreary place with old armour and sad paintings. Elsie loved it though, as she loved many things, in the pure and free way children can. The re-location ended up being for the best either way, as Beauxbatons was eliminated soon after.

Elsie loved, lost, laughed, cried, and every emotion in between as she went from a child to a young woman in the Hogwarts halls. She kissed, and teased, and smoked while running away from Prefects and Professors alike. The young girl excelled in Charms, the only thing she had taken an interest in, and managed to get by in everything else. It was a time of living while she had the time, and playing the piano all the times in between.

Now though, Elsie is older. Not more mature, or more prepared, but older. Things had most definitely changed, as she lost touch with many of her surviving friends from Beauxbatons, and most of those from Hogwarts. Sometimes she thought even her family wondered if she was still alive with her infrequent letters. She had delayed growing up by travelling for a while, hopping around as best she could while denying the inevitable fate of settling down.

She was to find a real job that was more than a part-time stint at some entry-level place wherever she happened to land that week. Her parents would only help so much, and this was the year she had to take charge.
