Short Description (50 words max): A seemingly classy establishment with wicked secrets, hard liquor and beautiful women.
Long Description (200 words min): The Moulin Rouge was established in 1901 after a corrupt business man by the name of Armand Mathieu Gautier immigrated from Paris, France in an attempt to escape prosecution for fraud and money laundering. Upon arrival he bought out a dying club in Knockturn Alley using the money he had illegally obtained and promptly renamed it ‘The Moulin Rouge’ after the popular club and cabaret show in the French capital, however he had entirely different intentions for his new business.

After several months of renovations and completely redecorating the impressively architectured building as well as making less than appropriate connections with the locally corrupt (some of which being prestigious public figures) on the way, he opened the club in the early autumn as a nightclub specifically catering to the likes of Halfblood and Pureblood men (though of course, Muggleborns may lie their way in) whilst having transformed it into a seemingly classy establishment with expensive furniture and decoration.

Upon entering the club you come to a medium sized entrance hall where two large security guards man the double doors that lead to the main floor and to enter you must pay a small free. The main floor consists of a bar with an extensive collection of alcohol (both modern and vintage), an array of fine leather armchairs and tables as well as private alcoves that can be reserved and rented out. The floors are dark oak wood and the club’s colour palette consists of dark shades, mostly reds, browns, golds and blacks. Towards the back of the spacious area is another set of double doors which are also manned by security and lead to a far posher and more extravagant area, reserved for the elite and private members of the club. Those who are private members sport a small pin of a crimson red windmill, lined with solid gold.

The only women permitted in the club are those who work there and many of which also live at the club on the residential floors above. Each of the girls have been sold to the club by Henrik Carlisle Duke, a prestigious politician and aristocrat who very secretly leads a dark life. The girls who live there share a room with one another apart from a select five who are not only the boss’ favourites but customer favourites also, meaning they get much more freedom since somewhere along the way they paid their way out of Henrik’s possession thanks to the private services they also personally offer the club’s attendees. One of these five girls is not only a mother figure to the rest but keeps everything in order and handles their finances.

In summary, The Moulin Rouge is a popular social hangout for the wizards of Great Britain and a place they can indulge in sin, including gambling and extensive alcohol intake. Many criminals frequent here as well as those of high social status, each circulating a different area of a club without ever having to acknowledge one another due to its great size. The dress code is smart/formal and those who do not attend are ignorant to its true nature.

What purpose will this shop serve other than selling things and being the home of your character? Why would people want to RP there just for fun? I am hoping it could possibly tie into the NPC Villains plot by giving those who indulge in criminal activity a place to frequent, in turn giving the authorities a place to raid in attempt of finding someone or something. Characters can also work there and potentially live there. Also, due to it mostly being a Gentleman’s Club, it could hopefully encourage players to make male characters as the female to male ratio has always been high. There are also unique situations characters can be thrown into that perhaps they may not have experienced before.
