Biography: (300 words minimum.)
The youngest of 3 siblings, Amelia had more freedom than her older sisters, who had to uphold a proper image in public. Little Amelia could tumble in the mud and make a huge mess, while her older siblings had to uphold the image of the Niava family in public, as they would be the future heirs.

Amelia had a happy childhood, growing up playing with Muggles at the park near their home, and practising magic with her mother. When she got her Hogwarts letter, she was beyond elated. At Hogwarts, she got a chance to learn and develop her magic prowess and met the wonderful idea of pranks. Her father disapproved of her actions greatly, causing tension between the two of them.

As Amelia grew older, the tension between her and her father grew. During summer before her seventh year, the tension was all let out during August 31. Amelia told her parents about her dream to be an Auror. She had grown out from her pranking stage, but still holding pranks close to her heart. However, her father wanted her to continue their potion business in France. Amelia disagreed and her father started screaming at her.

Amelia vowed to never follow the path her father had set out for her. The next day on September 1st, she packed everything that belonged to her, swearing that she will never return to the house she used to call home.

After graduating from Hogwarts, Amelia was at a loss on what to do. Having lots of money in her own account, due to her father's successful business, she was well off. She decided to go flat hunting, and stumbled along a cheap and small flat, perfect for her. Sprucing the flat was a simple job. She had magic, didn't she? However, she did miss her family. She finally decided to go along with her initial plan, to become an Auror.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them was giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red-headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobbled path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:
Time to go job hunting! But not before lunch. Amelia followed the crowd as she headed towards a small restaurant in Diagon Alley. Standing on her toes and peering above the tall heads of the crowd, she saw her favourite restaurant right ahead... but there was a Daily Prophet reporter on her way towards it.

Groaning in frustration, Amelia quickened her pace and shoved through the crowd, muttering 'Sorry' and 'Excuse me' as she headed towards the restaurant. Looking around, she saw the red-haired lady walking away, and breathed a sigh of relief. When her cries rang out, Amelia was officially very annoyed.

Amelia glanced at her watch. Curse her kind heart. By the time she finished, she wouldn't have time for lunch. Pushing through the crowd, not bothering to apologise to the people, she picked up the shoe for the red-haired lady. She held out her free hand to help the lady up, her face scrunched in genuine concern, she asked,

"Are you okay?"
