Brief Description
Gau stand at 5’4 and weights close to 110 pounds, which makes him rather skinny at the time, like any boy of his age, he was long limbed with large hands and feet that hinted at a giant to be. His black hair is cut short, which in and of itself is rather unusual for the Draginoff clan, most of the men grow their hair out just as long as some of the women. His eyes, oh his eyes were once beautiful but since the potion accident he had kept them hidden, he can’t see out of them, and even Demetri who loves him dearly told him that if it were him he would hide them, the grey orbs were ruined, and something about them was changed, he didn’t know what but he was always covering them. Since he can’t really tell what color he is dressing in, he has decided for a uniform color of grey, robes, shirts, pants, suits, all of it is simply different shades of gray. He does however tend to favor Shirt and pants with leather boots over any other mode of dress.

Brief summary of his personality
Being blind would be called a handicap by any other person, but Gau merely sees it as something that he has to deal with. When people offer him help he generally will try to shrug them off, he doesn’t care for the help, though at times he gets tierd. When tired he will allow himself to be guided, since it takes so much for him to listen carefully, and remember the steps between places. His memory for voices and steps sometimes makes him seem to have a magical ability to know people, after a bit of time with a person he can start to learn the step pattern, the sound of the person, that sound is how he generally knows how many and who is coming.

Blood Purity: Pure
Magical Strengths: Animals trust him
Magical Weakness: any spell that takes sight is impossible to accurately cast at a target

Backstory
Gau grew up like many children, he played with family, he grew, he loved being outside with the animals. When he was 6 however he was playing with one of the pups in the Manor’s apothecary area when one of the potions that one of his father’s cousins was working on exploded, the solution got on his face, and buned like fire. He remembered having his face bandaged up, he remembered the trip to Moscow, the seering pain. Gau would remember the doctors words till his dieing days, “Nothing we can do for the boys eyes, since we don’t know what went wrong with the potion, we can’t fix them. The scars on his face will heal with time. But as far as I can tell he will never see again.”
That was the beginning of the time that he had to train up his senses, his uncle payed for the best man that money could buy, Gau hated him ,and the man used that hate to make sure that Gau was learning, after all you can’t hit a guy you can’t find. The man knew how to create a situation to make Gau learn. The animals they helped a bit in keeping him sane, he only cried for the first few weeks after that Elena, and Demetri did their best to help him cope, but it wasn’t the same, they were doing it out of pity and he tore into the both of them one day, his sister and his favorite cousin. Demetri as usual never left him alone, brought pups to him, asking him questions, generally making it known that he wasn’t going anywhere. One day however he slapped Gau and moved away from him, “Your still treating your family as if it was there fault, not only that but your not learning, stop feeling sorry for yourself and do something about it.”
It took that to make him apologize to his sister, as well as to give him a reason to keep going, his father helped him out as best he could after that to learn how to use the wand that he had, but it just wasn’t something that he was good at anymore, he couldn’t see so it was close to fire and forget, or spraying an area with spells in order to hit anything, when the man who was teaching him finally left he told him that eventually when he was older he could be able to fire

Option II:

“Oh, come now!"

Astrid Bixby’s voice carried down the corridor, the tall blonde girl not far behind. Her interviewee – or victim, depending on perspective – turned a corner and she frowned. They were always soelusive when she needed them. Sure, they would talk as if there was no tomorrow during class, but once she actually needed them to say something, they were nowhere to be found. Gryffindors.

Flustered, Astrid stopped in the middle of the corridor and stared, her parchment hanging limply from her hand. She was a good reporter, really, and she always did her best to make sure that everything she wrote was accurate. She glanced down to the quill, eyeing it with disdain. It wasn’t her fault if her quill misquoted. How was she supposed to know? It made for interesting articles, at least, and if she had misquoted the Head Boy last term as saying he had a love for stuffed animals, then that gave him personality. Astrid sighed.

A pout formed on her lips as she turned away, discouraged. The corridor was mercifully empty, though the doors to The Spellbound – the school newspaper – were ominously closed. Corbridge was a mercifully sweet editor, but Astrid was terrified of disappointing her all the same. She hadto come back with quotes.
Her eyes, blue, trailed her surroundings before choosing a new path, and she turned down a new corridor. A figure was ahead, and her eyes lit up, an impossibly rosy smile blossoming across her lips.

“Hey!” Astrid called, her voice light and singsong. She trotted to catch the person, her shoes clicking on the stone floor. “Wait up! It’s for the paper!” Her legs aided her admittedly poor running, and Astrid gasped as she came closer. “What do you think about serving frog legs at lunch? Some say it’s a delicacy, but others think it’s plain gross.”

Response

Gua heard the young girl, and was doing his best to ignore her, but being blind had its disadvantages, namely at the moment his inability to get away from the strange girl, who for the life of him he couldn’t remember her house, though he was pretty sure that she wasn’t in his own, well he at least thought that she wasn’t.
With a sigh he turned to the noisy girl, “ I don’t have any comment for someone that can’t quote people correctly, or for the lack of integrity to not spread rumors or lies about others, If I hear that your putting any of this in the Paper I will ask the Head of your House and mine to speak with you, I am speaking all of this off the record mind you, I don’t want to be in your newspaper not when you can’t trust the sources. Everybody knows the Head boy didn’t like stuffed bunnies, that is just silly, but no you had to write that. Made him seem a fool, but more so, it makes you a liar, and I have no time for liars, please if you will move out of my way, me and Grog have some place to be. Someplace far away from you, and your quill, don’t let me hear of this getting in the papers, I might have to ask Thii, Sol, or Demetri to have a sit down with you, and I really don’t think you want that now do you. Though then again, I don’t think you want me to tear you down in the Daily prophet either, just think what you will look like when I make it look like you have been picking on a poor blind young man, whos simply trying his best to be your friend? Now please let me by.”
With that said Gau walked off, his dog leading him towards the Fat Lady, with a small smile on his face, after all it wasn’t every day that he had to stand up for himself, also he was doing the world a favor by taking out another lieing reporter, well he really hadn’t taken her out, just made sure she wouldn’t bother him, well at least he hoped that she wasn’t going to ever bother him again, he could take care of himself. He didn’t need Yuri, Elena, Thii, nor Sol, he could do this on his own. But he had to admit, that when he told people that Yuri was like an Older Brother to him ,that people tended to leave him be, which was in its own way for the best, cause he didn’t want to deal with people too often. People bothered him, they pitied him, tried to force their help on him, he was a man, in all but the Laws eyes, but that didn’t matter, none of it really did, what mattered was family, and himself.
