Genevieve didn't like magic.

The eldest LeClerc - and the last, she might've added - would have given anything to be normal instead of a witch. Needless to say, she hated even the most beautiful parts of magic, and that included keeping Isla far away from it. Far, far away. But recently, it was becoming apparent that the young girl had the magic in her that both Genevieve and the rest of the Wizarding community all shared. It came out in little bursts, pried bit by bit. And yet still she refused to teach her. She was both wrong and right in dong so.

Isla's parents were Jamie Moore and Victoire LeClerc. Jamie was sweet and kind, youthful even when he grew older. Victoire was poised and elegant, the very definition of beautiful. Isla shared their traits of description - she had the bright red flaming hair, porcelain skin and lanky build of her father, but had her mother's careless athletic grace, lip the colour of candy floss, and hazel green eyes. She was extraordinarily beautiful.

But her parents had died at the hands of dark magic.

An accident some said, a spell gone wrong. But still, it had killed them, and it was now up to Genevieve to raise the little bundle handed to her. She was strict in her rule of no magic allowed, and Isla obeyed. Nevertheless, when the letter from Hogwarts showed upon their doorstep, Genevieve had no choice but to let her go. Because, Isla wanted to learn.

House Request: Gryffindor

Personality: Isla is quiet and very reserved, a girl that keeps to herself. She is observant and chooses more to watch and learn about who she is dealing or interacting with than to ask questions to learn. Asking usually leads to lying so it is best in her opinion to learn for herself first and then look for the weak points that they lie about. Her past has trained her not to show her emotions to those around her that she does not trust and those that gave gained her trust are few and far between. To most, she is intimidating and seemingly abrasive her expression never seems to change from it's serious nature and this is enough to ward them off from trying to approach her. She has grown to expect and appreciate this though as it keeps people not worth trusting away. This, however, is not how she truly feels about the world; this facade is exactly that, a facade.

To protect herself fromharm, she created the barrier of ice that surrounds her completely, hiding what is broken behind something that is fierce and unmoving. True, what is hidden is more warm and gentle with a loyalty that is unending. She would die for anyone that she decides to love - friend, family, or life partner - and defend them with a vengeance that matches the strength of a fully grown witch or wizard. She is honorable and chivalrous and has a kind heart to all creatures big and small, but even this loyalty - as strong as it is - is fragile. Betray her even once and she'll lock you out of her heart and trust forever.

So even though she is rough and cold on the outside, her hidden heart is what truly makes up the hidden girl.

Appearance: Isla would definitely be the definition of beautiful. Her sleek red hair falls down to her shoulders in a glossy, soft curtain, and her eyes are a beautiful hazel green that can make any man's hard heart melt. She walks with a careless, athletic grace that can't be matched. Her face is porcelain, her lips the color of candy floss.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
Please reply to one of the Sample Roleplays below.

With smooth strides Isla Moore walked down the twisting hallways of Hogwarts, her lips the color of candy floss curling in a smirk and her green eyes flickering to take in her surroundings almost reflexively, taking in the strengths and weaknesses of those around her and storing them in her brain for later use. Her black robes curling around her legs she gripped her wand in a tight fist in one hand and her textbooks in the other.

Curiously, she had stopped to watch the fifth year boy search through two rows of flowers, one eyebrow raised questioningly. However, her nose wrinkled in disgust as she watched him blow snot all over his arm. "What are-"

Yet, when she tried to finish her sentence in her usual quiet voice, she was interrupted by him. "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

Crossing her arms over her chest, her books in a neat pile at her feet when she set them down, her lips pulled down in a frown. "I was not staring. Do you want to catch your rat or not?"
