Biography: (300 words minimum.)
The youngest of three siblings, Marilyn was born into a middle class halfblood family. Her father runned the family shop in Hogsmeade and her mother was responsible for making her and her brothers as impeccable as it was possible. She had always been the dream girl: perfect face, perfect manners and perfect life.

And, unlike her ambitionless parents, Marilyn always knew she was meant for much more. For great manors and ballrooms. For high couture and society. There would be a diamond ring and romantic dinners in some fancy restaurant. There would be an enormous wedding, white and full of flowers, where everyone in the city would be able to see her walking down the aisle. There would be a lush house, with gardens and elegant furniture ,that someone else would clean, and a modern kitchen, where someone else would cook. There would be a baby, with rosy cheeks and her hair, and a husband who would kiss her when he got home. And a limousine - the girl was aware that particular part was largely more ficticious than the rest, but she had start dreamed about the thing ever since seeing it while watching a movie with a muggleborn friend.

Marilyn dreamed high, and there was no apparent motive for her to not gain what she sought.

Yet, there she was in an apartment whose ceiling was dripping and where the hot water was always on the eminent risk of running off. It has seemed like a good idea, at first, to leave behind her family home at Hogsmeade - high class bachelors can’t be found in cozy little villages, after all. You have to hunt for them. The subpar job at The Ministry was supposed to be something temporary, just a small step between her and the glory. Who would know that the bills had to paid monthly, and that the people at the Ministry do really have to do some work?

Adult life was being a far-fetch from her plans during that Hogwarts years.

Roleplay:
You come across one of these posts on the site. Please select one & reply as your character:

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:
It was her day off.

Cuban heels, pale long legs and a floral, knee-length and high waisted dress: Marilyn stood glued to one of the stone buildings, farthest away from the crowds as she could. The small mirror from her powder reflected  perfect lips covered by bright red lipstick - the case was pristine white, with little (fake) rubies forming an M at the front - and the blonde woman made a little pout before closing it.

Donnie  was late by fifteen minutes.

She sighed, a slender finger curling a blonde lock of hair. Should have know better than give in to his flirts so quick - everyone knew that guys like guys him preferred the long game. Well, there was also the not so small fact the young doctor wasn't exactly what the blonde had been aiming for - but she had to start from somewhere, after all.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

A reporter? Had something happened? Marilyn got on the tip of her shoes, trying to get a better sight, getting closer when this failed. Diagon Alley looked crowded and normal as any other day - but hey, if the journalist was looking for a scoop, Marilyn could totally help her with that. She was sure that if someone investigated that strange new neighbor of hers, then there would be a history worthy of, at least, a page five.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!”

And had we mentioned she was also a complete good samaritan?

"Oh darling-" She cooed,  trying to locate the lost heel "- I don't think we can get that back. Here, let me help you."
