Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Felicity Belle Wilding

Birthday: 25/8/38

Hometown: Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK

Bloodline:
Pureblood

Magical Strength (pick one):
Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one):
Divination

Year (pick two): 4, 3

Biography:
Heavy footfalls bounded up the wide, creaky staircase. Steps that sounded much heavier than one might expect from a young girl who did not even stand five feet tall yet. Felicity Wilding was determined to make her displeasure known even if that meant her heels and other various leg muscles might suffer the consequences later. Felicity was nothing if not dedicated and right now she wanted her mother to be as irritated as she was.

At the top of the grand, well-polished stairs Felicity grabbed the railing and slid on her feet to her right (an old habit from when she would race her brothers and she didn't want to go sliding across the waxed surface, but did want to maintain her speed), stomping the rest of the way down the hall knowing full-well that the dining room her mother occupied was directly below her.

Stopping just before she entered her bedroom, Felicity turned back toward the staircase and took a deep breath before shouting, "Are you a witch or not? If you like my hair so much just transfigure yours so you can play with your own hair for hours!"

Shoving her way into her bedroom and letting out one final huff, Felicity slammed the door closed behind her and immediately began dismantling the complicated plait her mother had painstakingly crafted. She found herself in front of the vanity table, staring at herself in the mirror though she refused to sit in the tiny gold chair with the fluffy pink cushion that belonged to the table. Too many hours had been spent in that chair being dressed up in the latest fashions and hairstyles that were not her own choosing just to attend parties that were more dull than the hours it took to get ready for them.

After a few minutes her golden blonde waves were free and Felicity combed her fingers through them to get the carefree, messy look that she preferred. She looked at herself in the mirror for a moment, wondering if she would have liked doing more with her hair if she hadn't been exposed to Ruby Wilding's Hair Extravaganza's for so many years. As it was, she liked her hair long and loose, usually only tying it back for Quidditch matches.

Her eyes strayed from her reflection in the mirror to the rest of her bedroom cast in the glass before her. It was all white and pastel pinks with a few gold tones, the only colour Felicity really approved of. There was not much representative of Felicity's personality in this bedroom. There was no sign of black and scarlet memorabilia from her favourite Quidditch team, the Ballycastle Bats. There was not a single sugar quill wrapper in sight, something that had become a common adornment on her bedside table at Hogwarts.

This room was too young, too girly and definitely too clean for Felicity. It made her heart ache for her room at Hogwarts. Sure she had to share that with several other girls but she at least got to decorate her little section as she saw fit.

She was fourteen years old, when would her mother realise she was no longer neither a little girl nor a life-sized doll?

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: I would love if she could end up in Gryffindor again. <3

Personality:
There are two sides to Felicity. The side she likes to show everyone is outgoing and mostly friendly with a side of sass and a sharp tongue when it's needed. She isn't shy so it's not hard for her to get to know people, but the other side of her is that it is very hard for people to get to know her. When she is on her own she can be a deep thinker, analyzing problems and situations for hours. In social situations she doesn't allow herself to think, doing whatever comes to mind at any given moment, sometimes to the point of being reckless.

Appearance:

→ RETURNING STUDENTS.
Note: This section is only for students who have been previously played at Hogwarts. Please see here for more information about Castle Dropouts levels/how many levels you are eligible to claim.

Link to your last levels request (if you never posted one, link to your last accepted student application): Wildthing's Levels

Number of New Levels Requested: 4

New Levels Request: C5D2T3S3 (I can't remember if it's allowed to have a 5 as the highest and 2 as the lowest as long as you add to the 2 next time claiming levels?)

How your character kept up with their studies: She's always been at Hogwarts, but is very easily bored so in certain classes she isn't a great student. She's hates failing (or losing in her mind) so she always tries her best but if the topic doesn't hold her interest it's hard for her to do well.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
You come across one of these posts on the site. Please select one & reply as your character. Remember, you can only roleplay your own character's actions, not Evangeline's or Hugh's.

Option 2:

That rat of his was in for it now.

The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.

Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.

Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.

Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.

The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.

As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.

Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.

Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

Roleplay Response:

The only dream I really remember from last night involved Jeremiah, Pax and Orion. Or maybe they were all separate dreams, I don't know. Either way, I'm really starting to regret having gone to that party and played that game. Dreaming about kissing boys I've already kissed makes me look like some silly girl with a crush. Like Rebecca, she's far too into Jere. I'll never understand why she wants to complicate things by involving feelings, she's already got the easy, fun part of the relationship.

As for Orion I can only assume he was in my dreams because I've only just met him recently and he's still something of a mystery. No matter the reason, these aren't the dreams I'm supposed to be remembering and it's becoming increasingly frustrating...

The sound of her quill scratching against the parchment of her journal mixed with the buzzing and chirping of other various creatures occupying the gardens other than herself. Felicity wasn't normally one to spend a lot of time here; she liked nature but preferred the isolation and mystery of the forbidden forest. The problem with that was once you got deep enough into the forest it was hard to see and that made writing somewhat difficult. Writing in a journal wasn't something she wanted most people to know she did so just sitting in the common room or in the great hall wasn't really an option.

Of course, the gardens weren't always free from other humans either and she heard the voice complaining about a rat before she saw the person it belonged to.

"Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

Felicity ran a hand through her hair, pushing it out of her eyes and raised an eyebrow at the boy staring at her.

"Excuse me, but I believe you are the one staring at me. I was minding my own business until you spoke."

Closing her journal and rising to her feet, Felicity turned but swung her head back in the direction of the young man to add, "And if you value your rat's life much you might want to hurry and find him soon. My owl's flying about and I don't think he's eaten yet today."

Not that she would ever allow Maverick to eat someone's pet but if they were going to give her attitude she would give it right back and she would win.

Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Felicity Belle Wilding

Birthday: 8/25/38 11

Hometown: Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK

Bloodline:
Unknown (lives as Pureblood)

Magical Strength (pick one):
Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one):
Divination

Year (pick two): 1, 2

Biography:
When Felicity thought about the times when she first began feeling disconnected from her family, her fourth birthday party was the earliest memory she could recall.

All around her were people she was supposed to feel she belonged to and that belonged to her because they were her blood; her relatives. What she really remembered, or remembered feeling, was a sense of wondering who these people really were. She was a outsider at her own party.

Not in the true sense; this was all in her head, of course. Her mother had spent hours that morning brushing Felicity’s golden waves until she swore the reflection of them in her mirror was enough to blind her. The presents all had her name featured on them, as did the banners flashing her age and wishing her a happy birthday. The majority of the pictures featured her (mother had seen to that). She couldn’t have been an outsider because a lot of the other kids wanted to play with her. Mother didn’t allow her much play time, however, Felicity needed to look picture perfect all day.

The day truly was about her. It was her own mind that was keeping her distanced from her own family. Felicity remembered looking around at her older siblings, all brothers, who seemed content enough to sit at the table for most of the day. They never made a fuss when they were told to sit and behave themselves.

That was one of the moments that stood out most for Felicity. All she had wanted to do was run and play, even get a little dirty, just for one day. She had not been so content to sit still and look pretty. She had wanted to have fun.

It was when she was six years old that she found out why she felt so different from her family. At just a few weeks old and with nothing more than a blanket and a small scrap of paper with a few words in Spanish written on it, Felicity had been left at an orphanage where her mother, Mrs Ruby Wilding, had come across her and decided she needed to add a little girl to her group of boys.

Everything about not feeling like part of the family made sense after that. Although it wasn’t as if her adoptive family made her feel like she wasn’t part of them, Felicity often found herself pulling away from them.

As she grew, she often thought about why her real mother had thought she wasn’t worth keeping. Or why both her parents didn’t want her. That thought was worse, though. Thinking that the two people who created her didn’t want her when they first saw her. It was easier to think that her mother had been alone and made the decision to give her up without anyone else giving their opinion.

If George and Ruby were so driven to keep a child they had no connection to, why was it her own parents hadn’t felt the same thing? Had she been such an awful baby they hadn’t been able to deal with her? These were just some of the questions she wanted answered. Felicity could only hope that some day she would learn something about her birth parents.

For now, Felicity had to deal with a family that she didn’t really feel connected to, despite how hard some of them tried. She had to deal with a mother who wanted to turn her into a perfect little lady whether Felicity wanted that or not.

Some day she would be old enough to make her own decisions and she planned to try and push as many boundaries as she felt needing pushing until that day came.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: Gryffindor, pretty please!

Personality: Felicity is a bit of a slow-burning fire. She has a fierce spirit and loves trying everything and anything, but a childhood of being forced into following correct etiquette and not always being allowed to just be a child has left her a bit hesitant. In certain situations it takes her a while to let loose and be herself, but once she does, there’s no stopping her.

She also has a trust issue, or four, and it takes time for her to warm up to people, but she’s generally nice and friendly with everyone upon first meeting them.

Appearance:

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
Being out of doors was one of Felicity’s favorite things since arriving at Hogwarts. It seemed like such a simple thing, but when one spent the better part of their childhood inside at the insistence of their mother, so she didn’t ruin her pretty hair or her pretty clothes, being outside was quite the luxury.

Quickly Felicity had discovered her favorite spots to be by the lake and the gardens. The lake because the lapping of the waves against the shore reminded her of home. She had grown up near the sea and although there were certain things she wanted to escape from, it was still the only home she had ever known. A place where people wanted her, whether she felt connected to them or not. Not everyone had chosen to abandon her.

The gardens she liked for their peaceful environment. With the weather still lovely and warm, the lake could sometimes be overcrowded. Felicity liked being around her peers a lot of the time, but she was still keeping them at a distance, behind firmly built walls and she suspected they would find out she wasn’t quite being herself with them soon enough. To delay the time when she would have to tell people about herself, she sought the refuge of the gardens.

There were also so many new sights for Felicity to discover in the gardens. They had a large garden at home but neither of her parents were much interested in nature and even if they were, Felicity didn’t think many gardens could match the ones here at Hogwarts.

Felicity was particularly intrigued by the Flutterby bush. She had found it on her first trip to the gardens. At first she had thought there was something behind the bush, some animal, because the bush kept moving gently but when she didn’t find anything behind it she did a little research on the plants found in the gardens. A bush that only flowered once a century was interesting. If you weren’t familiar with the bush, how were you supposed to know when it flowered. It could happen as she was standing there staring at--

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

The harsh voice reached her ears and Felicity moved in the direction of it and some rustling noises. She stopped when she found a boy bent over digging mercilessly through the flowers. The poor things looked like they might not survive the trauma.

Felicity wrinkled what her mother called a button nose and stepped forward to confront the boy, just as he sneezed loud enough to probably wake up all the creatures in the forest. As Felicity was biting her bottom lip to stifle a giggle, the boy’s eyes found her.

"Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

Her nose crinkled even more in dislike. Felicity put her hands on her hips and said, “I don’t need your help, but you should probably apologize to the flowers you’re killing.”
