Biography: (300 words minimum.)

He was almost there.

The young man climbed higher, muttering under his breath and glancing up under golden lashes towards the sky. The sun beat down heavily against back, now soaked with sweat. His white cotton blouse stuck uncomfortably to his flesh, causing a slight itch. Adonis wanted to pull it off over his head, feel the sun against his already warm skin. However, returning home with a massive sunburn didn’t seem that inviting. Leonidas would have an absolute ball slapping his sensitive, sunburnt skin when Adonis wasn’t paying attention. The thought wasn’t pleasant.

He gave a grunt, jumping from one ledge to another, gritting his teeth as his foot almost slipped from the rock. He paused, regaining balance. He had been climbing for at least two hours, a break seemed like a decent idea, however finally getting to his destination sounded better. The pool wasn’t far now and he craved its sweet water and swift currents.

It was not far now.

He and Leon had discovered it when they were children. Adonis had been awed by the dark water, a pool before the waterfall dropped. It was a dangerous place for a child, slippery and the rocks were sharp. They could’ve died if they weren't careful. Of course, Leon had given a grunt before leaving to find his cousins. The younger brother, however, had been rather fascinated by the pool. The water was dark and ice cold to the touch. Rivers coming up from the mountain had formed a large, deep pool before a massive, towering drop down to the rapids.

He had never been able to return to the pool.

Until now, of course.

Mother and Father had always been busy, always. Mother with her little ladies meetings and shopping trips, while father spent most of his time in London, at the Ministry. Adonis had always admired the man, he lived a dangerous life as an Auror and spent his nights participating in even darker activities that were still a mystery to Adonis. His Father was secretive, revealing nothing and acting quite profession with everyone. Even his family. He was never a father deserving of his children's love, rather one that demand it.

Leonidas respected Father for this, he was the ‘golden child’ a true heir and one that was deserving of the title. He often sucked up to Grandfather, spending a large amount of time at the Herondale Castle, desperately trying to prove his worth It sickened Adonis. His brother was dangerously ambitious and Adonis feared what he would do to gain a position of power. He had never gotten along with his brother as the boy grew into a man, however now, as much as Adonis tried to reason with the him, Leon refused.

Adonis was not a brother he thought to be proud of. Unlike Leon, Adonis had no interest in power, wealth or woman for that matter. He was as simple minded as a muggle in Leon’s eyes.  Strangely enough, this didn’t bother the younger brother. Adonis was not simple minded at all, however he was incredibly easy going and slightly lazy. He didn’t care much for politics or elitism. His family ideals didn’t appeal to him and this bothered his brother terribly. Perhaps he craved his brother by his side, the idea struck the blonde man as strange. He didn’t ponder much more on it though, Leon was not here now.

As Adonis prepared himself for the harder part of the journey, he moved his hand to light up a cigarette. The man glanced down at the rock he currently balanced on before crossing his legs and sitting down, watching the waterfall beside him gush down with incredible ferocity and power. His ears were filled with the noise of the water pounding against the rocks at the bottom, smashing into them with such an impact, that if any creature were to fall, they would simply be crushed and die on impact. He shivered slightly, looking down at how far he had come. He shivered slightly, not from cold, but from sheer awe of the so rounding beauty. This was his place and his alone, he would not bring anyone here.

The man lit his cigarette, allowing it to gently slip between his lips before inhaling deeply. His throat burned slightly as the smoke traveled downwards, spiralling into his lungs before simply melting into him. Whatever smoked remained was exhaled, rising from his lips up towards the sky until disappearing completely. He gave a sigh of relief as the nicotine went to his brain, calming down his senses, softening his gaze. Finally, after a few more puffs, Adonis stood up and continued. Now came the hardest part.

It was a steep up hill climb from here. Adonis grabbed a ledge before thrusting himself upwards and finding himself a foothold. He went on without faulting, scaling the cliff before him. His arms began to strain slightly as he neared the top. He could feel his palms becoming sweaty and dangerously slippery. He quickened his pace, desperate to feel steady ground beneath his feet again.

At last, he pulled himself up the last fragile ledge and jumped up, grabbing the edge of the cliff. He had reached the top, at long last. Adonis pulled himself upwards, lifting his leg upwards and using his calf muscles to pull the rest of his body up. He gave a shout, more of victory then anything else, and rolled over the edge onto the sandy top of the cliff. He lay there for a few minutes, gathering his breath and allowing his heart beat to slow. He shut his eyes listening to the sound of the water fall beneath him, now slightly quieter then before.

When he finally opened his eyes, Adonis grinned like a child and gave a triumphed shout. Of course, he couldn’t just gone the long way and hiked up, but climbing had been so much more exhilarating, causing his blood to boil and roar in his eyes. The adrenaline was absolutely mind blowing. He sat up, crossing his legs beneath him, leaning his arms on his knees and hunched over in fatigue. His eyes finally found the large pool, just inches from him.

He ripped his clothing off and dived in, sinking deep within the dark waves. He wondered if his parents would be proud of him, reaching a destination like this. Probably not though, the didn’t ponder much on mundane activities such as this. He felt his hear harden slightly, he had no family. Only those who shared his blood, they were nothing to him.

Nothing.

Of course he did get along with some of his cousins, however it was rare. Plenty of them had adapted the elitist lifestyle and tended to stay away from him. The man who left school early and refused to find himself a worth job. Merlin, it did get tedious sometimes, dealing with their stares and whispers. he laughed slightly, even mother couldn’t look at him without threatening to cut off his hair and then maybe, he’d look presentable enough to be offered a job, as if.

He had thought of becoming an Auror, the idea interested him. However, working with his father was not a comforting thought.

But he would not ponder on his family any more.

He was here now, not there. Away from them and any responsibility that he was forced to deal with. He was running away from his problems, it was typical of him. That poor, lazy Adonis wouldn’t ever become as successful as his father due to him simply not having any motivation. If only he was a little bit more like Leon. But then again, he was the good looking one, so he did have that going for him. The thought made him smile.

Adonis rose to the surface and floated all thoughts removed from his mind.

Up here, he could be whoever he bloody wanted to be.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:

The young man grinned as his younger sister grasped his hand and dragged him through the crowded steer of Diagon Alley.

She was clearly on a mission and all these people didn’t seem to phase the younger female at all. Fauna pushed her way through, tugging at his hand urging him to hurry up. He chuckled slightly. Mother had been far to busy to take the girl out today for school supplies, so naturally, she had asked Adonis. He had complained then and there, stating that he was busy and didn’t have time, but really, he enjoyed going out with Fauna. She wasn’t exactly like a typical Herondale girl.

He thought that she had been born in the wrong body, swaying further towards more boyish habits then a female. She wasn’t at all posh or preppy like their other sibling Venus. It was rather pleasant, gave him hope that there were other females out there with as much spunk as his sister.

“COME ON,”

Fauna glanced back at him.

“I swear Adonis, If I’m late because of you, you’ll wake up tomorrow with no eyebrows.”

The blonde male laughed, hurring slightly to catch up with her. They finally reached the bookstore and Fauna hurried in, a smile plastered on her face. She had been counting down the minutes to this book signing, and today was the day. He didn’t blame her for being in such a massive hurry. Poor girl, she had said something about the author being attractive and her needing to be there and then something about slipping him love potions. He probably should of done something about that…

The male shrugged, glancing down the street. He leaned back against a wall, lighting a cigarette.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!”

A rather startled looking female was stumbling down the alley, a look of fear plastered on her face. The male rushed forward, discarding his cigarette on the floor before quickly grabbing onto her shoulders to attempt to steady her. He did’t understand why females insisted on wearing such terrible shoes, plus, they were probably horribly uncomfortable as well.

“You okay?” He asked, a smug look plastered on his face.

He wasn’t exactly a knight in shining armour, but he did try.
