Biography: (300 words minimum.)
September 1st, 1934

“My name’s Hugo.” The boy said with a boyish grin. He had picked this seat for the fact that something had attracted him here. A presence like no other. A smile of a girl he wanted to know.

“I’m Winifred.” The girl said with airy confidence.

“I feel like Winnie suits you better.” He didn’t really mind the name Winifred, it just reminded him of someone much older. Someone that shouldn’t have such a radiant smile.

December 15th, 1935

Presents. Presents everywhere. There wasn’t any expense that was too great for his best friend. “Winnie, you aren’t peaking, right?” He he asked as he led her into the room of requirement in order to open her gifts. His family didn’t really celebrate Christmas, but it was all around the castle.

“Okay, you can open your eyes now.” He said as he stepped in front of her to present the barrage of presents.

July 6th, 1936

“You’re awfully pale.” He said to the boy. He was used to being surrounded by a sea of white. This boy though, was paler than the rest. “You said your name is Jude?” He asked with a sly smile.

February 24th, 1938

There the boy fell in front of them. Or well he was pushed. Noah had some pent up anger issues that Hugo never really cared for. The boy should really learn how to control it. “Why can’t you just settle these things with class, Noah?” He asked as he stood by the boy. He didn’t help him get up though, that was something that was beneath him.

“Once you get up, run. Noah is not as forgiving as some of us.” He stated as he sat back down in his chair like it was a throne. Physically hurting people was not his style, and sometimes he felt sorry for the people who got the end of Noah’s fist. Noah was his friend though, the people on the other end weren’t.

October 31st, 1938
Hugo took a sip of the fire whiskey he had brought to the dance. Winnie said she would meet him outside of the doors of the great hall, but he hadn’t seen her yet. Looking around he finally laid eyes on her. She had a mask on, but no one could mistake her for anyone else. His Winnie commanded all of the attention, just like she always had.

“Afternoon, beautiful.” He said with a wink as he passed her his flask. “I can’t wait for later.”

Taking his girl by the hand he lead her into the dance, to where the group of misfits sat around a table. “Cheer up, Ig. You’re always so moody.” Hugo said, his smile never leaving.

July 5th, 1939

Hugo came around the corner, looking around to see if Clem was where he asked them to meet. He didn’t want anyone else to see this meeting. Then he spotted her, small but vicious.

“Hey, Clem.” He said as he approached her. Taking out a jewelry box he opened it up to reveal a necklace with a yellow diamond pendant hanging from it.

He watched her as she viewed it, “Do you think she’ll love it?” He asked the girl. Friends opinions were better than boyfriends, right?

June 15th, 1941

“We are out of there.” He said with a smile as he embraced his girl. Turning to his friends he lifted up his drink for this cheerful situation. “Have fun with the curfews next term, kids.” He said in a joyful tone.

Roleplay:

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:
Sitting back, Hugo watched the crowds as they passed by. They were always rushing. It was clockwork really, people got in their routines and stopped enjoying life. Well Hugo didn’t really enjoy life much now either.. His smile had faded after his last term at school. He used to always have a smile on his face, but now it was always forced. His mind was about to go back to where it always seemed to go, his old friends, when he heard a commotion in the street.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Taking a sip of his coffee he watched the woman as she tried to get someone to answer her. A small laugh left his throat.. He hadn’t really laughed in a long time. He watched her with wondering eyes as she kept trying. They girl didn’t give up that’s for sure.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!”

That was his que. Leaving a few sickles on the table to pay for his drink he hopped up to go to the rescue.

“Need a hand miss?” He he asked as he held out his arm for the lady to hold onto. He was a gentleman most of the time.
