Muggleborn

Biography:
Australia.

That's all the young girl knew, all she would ever know, probably. She woke up one day, a young girl at two years old in a orphanage knew about her past. All she could figure out (as later she wondered about such a thing) that she was probably born in the place where her orphanage was: Melbourne. The directors branded her Nyla, for it would get confusing if they just said "hey, you, c'mere" to every child.

Nyla doesn't remember much about her life there. She only spent two years there, being adopted at four year old on Christmas day.

She was adopted by Shannon and Hank, a young halfblood couple who were having issues getting pregnant . The two came from a powerful family that didn't care much about blood status. They knew that they had to do good deeds to keep their image up. Nyla was given their last name, and she was given the middle name Juno, after Hank's father. Her first name was still Nyla, simply to avoid confusion.

Nyla grew up in a very large house in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was doted on endlessly by her parents and their staff and all the other staff. After all, she was the granddaughter of the head of the family. Shannon and Hank were good parents, and Nyla has tried not to think about what could have been if her parents hadn't abandoned her. Shan and Hank were good people, and they were all she had ever known. She was happy there. Her parents adopted two other girls, must older than her, Marisole and Akame.

At the beginning of the summer, Shannon caught a queer illness and she was sent off to live with her Uncle Cleveland in Scotland because Hank didn't want her to see her mother so sickly. Even in the dark times, Nyla struggles to stay positive. She's quickly warming up to her uncle, aunt, and cousins, and it's comforting to have her sisters with her.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: I'll let the sorting hat do its magic, though Hufflepuff seems a bit too obvious.

Personality:

Nyla is quiet and reserved. She's fine by herself, and has learned to have fun all on her own. She'd much rather have a few close friends than a bunch of them whom she hardly knows and can keep up with. (Please. She already has too many cousins) When at a party, (as there were many growing up in the Griffin household) she has learned to mingle, but after excessive socializing she gets really tired. Nyla's a live in the moment person. She doesn't care much for thinking of future possibilities, for she just hopes it will be better than right now. Rather than think, Nyla feels. When making decisions, she focuses on her feelings rather than what might actually makes sense. Nyla has never been one to judge. She prefers to withhold judgment from anyone, as people can change. All in all, Nyla is a quiet, peaceful, and easygoing person. "Live and let live and learn" are her words of wisdom.

Appearance:

With her small height and quiet voice, Nyla is very easy to overlook. Nyla has pale skin, slightly freckled around her hands and nose. She has big bright blue doe eyes that are said to pierce through one's soul. She has light blond hair that she almost never bothers to do anything with, as she believes there are much more interesting things to do than deal with them. She wears fine robes, but they are almost always smudged with paint.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
Please reply to one of the Sample Roleplays below.

If she were a bit more quick to judge, Nyla might have thought her older sister Akame was a flake.

The girl was never on time, and Nyla was positive Akame knew when and where they were supposed to meet (in the gardens, before breakfast), for she had been bugging the girl about it whenever she slipped pass her in the hall. It was tough finding time to hang out with her older sisters, as they were much more social and in different years. So she had tried to carve out time.

Breakfast was nearly over, Marisole had came and gone, so Akame was horribly late. Nyla couldn't be angry, though, she kind of operated on her own clock. She believed due dates were only suggestions, which often got her into trouble.

She absentmindedly placed a hand over her growling stomach. She considered going to get something to eat, for she was getting so hungry it was starting to hurt. But Akame could show up any moment, and she wanted to be there when she came so the two could finally spend some time together.

She was so wrapped up in her thoughts of Akame that she didn't notice the older boy until he spoke to her. Though his words were quite rude, all the young girl noticed was the snot. "Oh, dear," she murmured, sympathy in her tone, "Are you ill? I hear it can get kind of rough even in this time of the year."
