I kept resizing my picture to the required sizing and then posted it but it come out as nothing. It was frustrating that I keep changing every picture and all didn't work. If there could be a kind soul to help with the picture sizing or something, I'll be entirely grateful!

Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Generations before Kisley was born, they had all lived in Chinatown, London the whole time, living and behaving like the Muggles around them. They were magic folks and hailed from Osaka,Japan. The reason why they moved over to the country where the Ministry was located, was unknown. They owned a small provisions shop there which catered to mostly Japanese residing in London. It had expanded since the start of 1930s. Speaking both English and Japanese had never been the problem for the descendants.

With the last generation living in the small apartment above the provisions shop, it only consisted of her parents, her old ailing grandmother, her younger brother and Kisley herself. They wasn't that well off but they could just scrape by with little profits they could have from selling provisions. Kisley was able to go to Hogwarts at the tender age of 11 and she was immensely enjoying it very much. Last two summers, she headed back home and only to see it closed. Because of the war which had been ongoing, her father, Jones, had to close down the provisions shop because of so many reasons that the young twelve-ongoing-thirteen girl couldn't fathom. Her family members were not in sight and then a tall young Japanese young man walked up to her with a note as well as a ticket from her father. It indicated their whereabouts and she decided to join the rest of her family. To meet them, she had to take a train to Normandy, France where the actual war was taking place. She didn't know it was happening there and when she was about to arrive, the train stopped and the Germans was taking over as in hijacking.

To her horror, they started to kill off whoever were British in the train and thanks to her small build and frame, she crouched down in between the space of the seat behind her and in front of her after being told by an old, kind lady to do so who happened to be a magic folk too. A squib, more like it. Even though she was crouching there, she was covered by an old, smelly brown cloth that seemed to be used to cover baskets of fruits and thanks to the help of the old lady, she was able to escape, unscathed by the wrath of the Germans who had now killed every person on this train, not leaving one alive. Except her. Once things had died down on the train, she managed to escape and not without saying a small prayer for the old lady before getting off the train and into the forest. She was unfortunate for sure as once she passed the forest, she was out onto the beach, once more in the middle of the crossfire. Lost and scared, she didn't even knew if her family were alive as she sat behind a large rock that kept her out of sight of every single solider out there.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Option Two -
The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response: OPTION TWO
Snow. It had been a long time since she could last enjoyed it peacefully, without no chaos around her. The white snowflakes floated down so beautifully that the seventeen years old girl couldn't help but to stick out her tongue. Standing right outside Madam Malkin's, the street was abuzz with people, frolicking from one shop to another. Snow could also mean an indication to the start of Christmas break and the day itself. Now all alone with her entire family dead, she had no other choice but to spend the special season alone.

With a soft shaky sigh, she stepped out from the warm shelter of Madam Malkin's entrance, she walked out onto the street, all ready to head to the next stop which was the Gringotts' Bank to retrieve some money to last her the entire winter. She tried not to get into anyone's way or to step on poor children's feet since she was taller and bigger than them, standing at 5 ft 6 inches tall. "Have a good day!", she shouted out to a familiar face at Obscurus Books store before she weaved in and out effortlessly among the huge crowd that was now filling up the street even more.

"Coming through! Coming through!"

That voice snapped her out of her attention from not stepping on and getting in anyone's way, she turned around to see who was shouting that when she spotted a box or many boxes floating midair, above everyone's head. "Crikey.. I better get out of that person's way before he or she crash into me," she muttered under her breath and faced forwards to where the Gringotts' Bank was. As much as she wished to step out of the shouting person's way, she couldn't as there was a group of family huddling together on her left and a huge guy, most likely fat too, standing on her right. Kisley was stuck in the middle with no space in front of her nor at the back. "What shall I do? Apparate? Nah. Better not." She contemplated on what she should do now that the man was getting closer and closer. Not until she heard a disgruntled scream and seeing something sparkling from her eyes' view. "Tinsel.....", she mumbled to herself, cross-eyeing to observe the thing that was hanging down from her head. She then looked down to see if it had completely covered her which it did.

"For Merlin's sake. I'm so sorry. This blasted snow."

Kisley smiled awkwardly as she began to take the tinsel out of her hair despite the giggles and laughter coming from every direction possible. "Nah, it's okay. Snow can just make you slip. No worries. Christmas is coming and everyone should be.. well, enjoying the weather now right? Here you go. Your misplaced tinsel. With glitter. Have a great day, bud." She gave the other an encouraging smile with a small pat on his shoulder before staring at the scattered tinsel on the grounds. "Perhaps, I should just stay to help you with the mess which is pretty extensive." She chuckled as she looked around her, lumps of tinsel being found on top of a little girl's head and on the door signs' of the nearby shops.

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
Three boys playing around in mid air, chasing after one golden ball.
A little girl trudging along on the almost dead broom.

The very scene of it made her both laugh and scoff at the same time. She wasn't sure which emotion was more benefitting for this funny scene. The way the old broomstick drifting upwards and then sank to the ground the next second, the little girl should have seen what the broom was never designed to fly just as high as its other peers. Shaking her head, Kisley took her seat down at the nearest bench to obey the younger kids at play when she heard a small but fierce voice calling out to the female.

"You! ...Do you want to play?"

Kisley blinked at the little girl and gave a light shrug as a response before standing up and walking over to where the girl with such bright blue eyes was standing, looking down at the almost dead broom. "Sure, I do like to play with you but not with that old broom. It's dying. Don't put anymore stress on this poor ol' broom. Since your brothers are preoccupied with playing Quidditch," she said loudly as she looked up, her eyes squinting in the glare of the sun. "We should play tag! I will be It and I am going to chase after you! How does that sound?" She looked back down at the little girl and beamed widely, hoping that the younger would take her up on her suggestion. Janey shrugged and nodded, all ready to run off.

For once, she was glad that someone younger than her would listen to her, compared to her brother at home. Kisely got into a ready stance, her fists poised in front of her chest and her legs spread a feet apart with her left heel up in the air to give her a push to enable her to run. "On my mark of three... Two.. One!" She yelled out excitedly, using the push to run off after the squealing little girl who had purposely gotten a head's start to get the upper hand in this game.

HI!
I have been back online after so many bad happenings in rl.

Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.
Name: Kisley Takeda

Birthday: 16 July 1927(1926 if 4th Year)

Hometown: London, England

Bloodline:
Half blood

Magical Strength (pick one):
Transfiguration

Magical Weakness (pick one):
Divination

Year (pick two): 3rd Year, 4th Year

Biography:

Born to a Muggleborn mother and Wizard father, she lived with a family of four in which both her and her younger sibling, Kris were half-blood. Ever since the start of her parents' marriage, her poor mother did not know that her father was a wizard after all and only came to know it when a letter for the oldest kid, Kisley came into the letterbox. The mother was surprised that she was offered a place in Hogwarts and was all elated that she was now of age to enter one of the top magical school in the whole Wizarding World. With a grocery store keeper as a cover, he truly worked as an officer in Ministry of Magic whenever he had the time for it. Although Kisley was born in London, she was truly Asian as in every way she behaved, she was very much like her parents. And yes, both her parents were Asians and hailed from Japan before they emigrated to England because of her father's job.

She was a very special kid and she caused things to happen on their own with no intentions to do so. That was enough to make her so scared of herself when one day a year before the letter of enrollment came to her, her father broke the news to the girl as well as her brother since he was there at the scene that she was a witch because her father was after all a wizard and her mother, a Muggleborn witch. That explained everything on why things happened on its own. Bit by bit, day by day, she came to terms that she was different from everyone else and that she could do magic.

On the day when the letter came, she bounced around the house with such glee and cheers that she excitedly told her dad that she can't wait to get to Hogwarts, the prestigious magical school of all three or more. And the first to enter Hogwarts since her father attended the one in Japan. Which meant that everything would be in English compared to Japanese that was used in her father's time. That was one big challenge her father, Yuki faced. He ought to be prepared for the summers because he knew that Kisley would ask a lot of questions on second year.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: Gryffindor

Personality: Curious and cheery. She is half introverted and half extroverted.  It all depends on the situations she is in. But most of the times, she is pretty much on the extrovert side. Being the bookworm, she read a lot of books ranging from her favorite topics on the mythical creatures(before she knew what she was) to human body. That part about human body, let me elaborate more. She was pretty interested in circulatory, digestive systems and neurology. Yes, she wanted to be a doctor before. She loves pets, even small white mice as well though they are scary to hold and touch. Because of her mother's big-hearten warmth, she tends to care for everyone without them knowing in small actions and sometimes big actions. She is more of 'more actions, less word' type of girl and she is even loyal to friends. Kisley is willing to lend a listening ear when needed. At times, her troublemaker side will kick in when she is bored. All in all, she is really a good kid.

Appearance: Long, wavy black hair that reaches down to her back with eyes clearly dark brown. It is only visible when under light. She stands at 155cm tall, too tall for her age as it seems because she takes after her father in height wise. She is slender and her long legs are beautifully toned because of consistent ballet training and her fingers are long and slim. She has a heart-shaped face with her nose so finely shaped that she appeared to look like a doll at times. Her eyes are big in which was rare in Oriental countries and her mouth slightly small, making her way too perfect for her age.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
Option 1.

Once the game was over, she walked down to the Great Hall to grab a small bite and sat somewhere a little further away from the boy who was sitting at the end of the table with his head buried in his folded arms. Taking a look around, many cheered for the victory of a house in which ended the winning streak of another merely by the boy she spotted earlier on. Honestly, she felt that this game was nothing but a friendly match and didn't read much into it. But to some people, it sure was a gateway to getting the house cup in which was held every year. It is nothing more than just trophy and celebration of a house who was much better in everything. That meant competition every single day.

A loud victory chant erupted from behind her and it shocked her a little, causing her to turn around and smiled slightly at the cheeriness and happiness that filled up every corner of the Hall except for the boy. She didn't even looked at him once and when everyone stopped and turned to the boy, she unknowingly did the same and looked at him. He stood up and stomped out of the Hall, she knowing that he must still be very upset about the loss. She got out of the bench and ran behind him, to the quieter hallway before she was startled back by his shouts.

"I-I didn't come here to take a picture nor seen a loser. No one is ever a loser in my eyes and erm.. At least you did great. No second years had ever managed to be up right in the air and grabbed the Quaffle when one did. All you need is just more practice. I know you can do it and there are many opportunities out there," she comforted as she took each step with each sentence spoken. She was there to comfort, not to sneer at him for the loss.

Biography: (100 words minimum.)
Born to a Muggleborn witch mother and Wizard father, she lived with a family of four in which both her and her younger sibling, Kris was half-blood. Ever since the start of her parents' marriage, her poor mother did not know that her father was a wizard after all and only came to know it when a letter for the oldest kid, Kisley came into the letterbox. Supposedly a natural reaction of a Muggle when being found out was to rage and divorce the father but somehow, she eventually accepted that fact and embraced it with so much care and concern that she was all set to protect her husband and the two children's true identifies. With a grocery store keeper as a cover, he truly worked as an officer in Ministry of Magic whenever he had the time for it. Although Kisley was born in London, she was truly Asian as in every way she behaved; she was very much like her parents. And yes, both her parents were Asians and hailed from Japan before they immigrated to England because of her father's job.
She was a very special kid and she caused things to happen on their own with no intentions to do so. That was enough to make her so scared of herself when one day a year before the letter of enrolment came to her, her father broke the news to the girl as well as her mother since she was there at the scene that she was half a witch because her father was after all a wizard.
Which meant that everything would be in English compared to Japanese that was used in her father’s time. That was one big challenge her father, Yuki faced. He ought to be prepared for the summers because he knew that Kisley would ask a lot of questions on second year.

However, due to some problems at home, she had to return back to Japan for a while and came back to London, finding out that she had been taken off the roster. Now she had nothing to look forward to and had to spend her whole year, being all bullied by Kris all over again.

"What? Me?"

Kisley looked around and wondered if the little girl was speaking to someone else instead and came to a realization that she was referring to her. After having being kicked off or rather taken off the roster of Hogwarts, she had practically nothing to do at home except for moping around and doing nothing. Let alone playing with a small girl especially when it was none other than Janey Hurst, the girl who lived opposite her. Sighing, Kisley nodded and trudged over to her, squatting down to meet eye to eye with her.

"So what shall we do, Janey?"

Kisley's eyes traveled over to the small ruggish broom Janey was on and it was seriously the most worn down broom ever in her life. Since she was so free, she might as well teach Janey on how to ride it and how to 'chase' after people while being on the broom.

"Alright. Now.. This broom.. Imagine you are the broom itself, move your body to any direction you want and it will obey you. I think it can fly low for the time being since it is so old.. Well, Janey. You have to kick off by pushing your foot off the ground and you are off!"

Kisley certainly hoped that the little girl get what she was saying despite her complicated explanation and that she was not very trained in teaching people, most especially when she was not trained in riding a broom herself. Kisley was glad for a moment that she was not being buggered by that girl and had her personal space back. She sighed with relief and wondered just when she could ever return to Hogwarts. She then decided to get back home and stay in bed since it was getting colder.

I'm so sorry that I never read thoroughly on your reply and I ended up editing the post I have done previously.

It was late night here and I am really sleepy. My truest apologizes for not following the instructions.

I have edited the Parents/Guardians section and I have removed the power-playing in it.

Suggestions & Questions / Regarding Elsewhere
« on: 02/10/2013 at 04:48 »
Since my character, Kisley Takeda had been kicked out/taken off roster for Hogwarts and is not keen to apply to Beauxbatons and Salem, where should she go to?
Elsewhere?

If so, should I apply for her in Elsewhere as a Child?
I hope that someone could clarify this doubt of mine since yesterday.

OPTION 1
