Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Everly Jane Spencer (b. November 7th,  1924) is a London-raised half-blood witch of Welsh descent. The spawn of a wealthy pureblood man and a struggling muggle woman, her life was nothing short of hectic. Her father was absent for the first ten years of her life, and she was raised solely by her muggle mother - Frances Weatherfield - who was entirely unaware of existence of wizards. Everly received a public London education until the arrival of her Hogwarts letter in 1934.

It was then that her father came calling to explain the truth to her- she was a witch, heiress to the Spencer name. Everly accepted an invitation to live with him, to the excessive chagrin of her mother. Lucian Spencer claimed he had left his daughter to live with her mother because she was a half-breed, and if such knowledge were to become public, it would taint the purity of the Spencer name. However, when he had received word that his daughter was to attend Hogwarts, he found himself feeling conflicted, and ultimately decided to adopt her back into his life, as she was the only immediate blood family he had remaining.

Three years passed, and in 1937, her muggle mother disappeared in the time warp- Everly, for the first month in the aftermath, stubbornly refused to forget the memories, insisting that she had lived with her mother for the first ten years of her life. However, as time passed, these recollections evaporated and were replaced with memories of a childhood with her father, and she is registered as a pureblood with the Ministry.

Everly graduated from Ravenclaw with honors in 1941. She had been a model student throughout her years at Hogwarts, but found her social life rather dissatisfying. She spent the next two years struggling to decide on a future for herself. She had good intentions of helping others, but was unsure of where to start or what career would suit her most accommodatingly.

In time, she has come to fancy the thought of working for St. Mungo's, where she would be able to potentially save lives and mend others.

Option Two -
The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response:

"For Merlin's sake!"

Bloody hell, she'd taken a hit. Straightening herself out, Everly recollected her imperturbability, allowing her cornflower-blue gaze to fall upon her fellow victim of the fall; eyebrows lifting promptly, her lips took the form of an 'o', and she hurried to the man's side, plucking stray tinsel from his attire.

All at once, she felt entirely guilty- she should have been watching her steps. And now, because she hadn't, she'd clattered against this stranger and strewn his tinsel all over the both of them.

"Heavens, no," Everly began, knitting her brows in a visible display of sympathy. "You're in no way to blame, sir, I was too much of a ditz to pay attention to where I was walking." She'd been deep in thought when it happened; thoughts of her nonexistent career and her present unemployment. She and her father lived comfortably, but there was a hovering sense of solicitude in regards to her future, and it was profoundly troubling.

Everly forced herself to tend to the situation at hand, reserving her concerns for a better time. Hell, she knew she had plenty of it. Finally concluding her successful efforts to remove the tinsel from their accoutrements, Everly offered the stranger a smile. "There? See, it's quite alright. I'm just terribly sorry, you see."
