I didn't realize I couldn't edit the application, I apologize. The second paragraph of the sample role play was supposed to be in red, to indicate it is actually going on in his head.

    Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Finlay McCormick had your average childhood. Big family, loving parents, and a dog. (a German Shephard) to be exact, named Penny.) Born, and raised, in the heart of Wales to muggle parents. Deanna and Thomas were more than thrilled to have a wizard in their family. The eldest boy couldn’t have been happier when he was sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There he excelled in nearly every subject but divination. Guess he just didn’t have the sight his professor was always droning on about. Oh well.

Achieving prefect status only fueled the sibling rivalry between the four McCormick sons; Bailey, Joseph, and Louis. How fitting that the eldest and youngest both shared the same house whilst the middle boys were sorted in Slytherin. All two years apart, it soon became a competition to see who could get the best grades, play the best game of Qudditch, and even, who could bring home the prettiest girl? (Thought being a first year, Louis wasn’t doing much of the latter) Or even a boy, in Finn’s case. His brothers teased him relentlessly, saying he was greedy for being attracted to both sexes.
In September of 1939, when Finlay had just graduated from an Auror training school, World War II had just made its presence known. Soon, the draft was enforced, and there was no way to escape it. Well, for a wizard, there were a few ways to manipulate the process, but that went against what the McCormick boys were taught. Their father didn’t raise cowards. After all, this was their home. It was just as much as their fight as it was the muggles. Without them, he wouldn’t even be here, so he felt as if he owed them that much.

Finlay was the first to go, and boy, did he. Quickly he rose through the ranks of the muggle military. Didn’t even take the twenty-two year old two months before he accepted the position of Platoon Sergeant.  The leadership role came naturally to him. He was well respected amongst his squad, ranks, and superior officers. The conditions were harsh, and the stench of death took its toll on the young man. Every day he had to remind himself not to go cursing people. He couldn’t reveal his secret to the muggles, good or bad.

During his first year, a letter came for him. Inside, devastating news; Joseph had also been called to fight for their country. He was stationed, what seemed like, a million miles away. He knew the eighteen year boy could take care of himself, but that didn’t settle his nerves at all. Knowing an officer of a much, much higher rank, Finlay easily persuaded him to rush orders of Joseph’s transfer. On the way to his eldest brother’s camp, his convoy hit a landmine, and left no survivors. That was the first time the McCormick had ever cried himself to sleep.

After four long years, his infantry unit was dispatched home. Out of the fifteen men, only a handful stayed back to continue the fight. The rest of his comrades were more than eager to get back to their families. Unfortunately, there was an even bigger battle happening than any of them could even imagine. Finn knew he wasn’t finished with the war. As soon as he stepped off the boat, he was headed straight to fight as a member of Merlin’s Order of Defense. There was no going back to his family. Not yet.
On the ship home, celebrations were merry and close between. Clouds of cigarette smoke filled the air, and empty bottles of whiskey lay around. In a split second, it was all gone. His brothers. His friends. They hit their own mine. That was the day, the once optimistic man lost faith in humanity.

After two years of being with Merlin’s Order of Defense, Finlay’s nightmare became reality. Once the War was finished, another begun. One that hit a lot closer to home. Hexenreich.  He was determined to see their defeat, and made the decision to move back to London in order to do so.

    Roleplay Response: One
A mysterious hooded figure stepped out into the alley. His dark green cloak shielding his face from view. All a person could see was the lit cigarette in his mouth. The smoke made a cloud, confirming life under the material. The man's legs carried him in long strides, reaching the bustling street in no time.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!”

A woman's yell made his neck snap in her direction. The deep green hood fell from his face, exposing a handsome man in his late 20s. The stubble of hair indicating he had been without a shave for at least two weeks. Jet black hair untidy, and full lips slight agape. Dark eyes landed on her look of surprise, and they soon glazed over. He was frozen in place, paralyzed with fear.

"Help me! Help me!" a woman screamed over and over. The sound of explosions echoed in his ears, making them ring with pain. Dirt was flying every which way, and all he could do was try to focus on his men yelling. "MCCORMICK!" Sweat dripped down his face, stinging his frantic eyes. "GRAB LINCOLN AND GO, GO, GO!" His legs carried his swiftly to a man lying ten feet away, screaming in agony. I need to help my friend, I need to help George. Ignoring the man's cries, he holstered him up over his shoulder. Adrenaline pumping through his veins, the soldier ran as fast as his legs could take him to the convoy.

Finlay could feel the sweat slowly sliding down his neck. His eyes widened, and his throat went dry. It's not real. His eyes darted back to the woman who was still stranded on the ground. Should he go over and help her, or should he stay put? Half of him wished someone would stop along the way and pick her up, so he wouldn't have to. Why was it always him?
