Biography:

The Flannery household was unusually noisy.

The house groaned and creaked as three teenagers eagerly plummeted down the staircase – which looked like it was about to give in – before pushing into the kitchen. One of the children, smashed against the wall as the other two managed to squeeze their way in. The other, a lanky boy, rubbed his forehead and grumbled angrily before joining his sisters at the breakfast table. Pans were furiously frying – or rather burning – a large portion of bacon before Aislin Flannery quickly scraped out the charred meat onto her children’s plates.

Jude glanced down and crinkled her nose, eyeing her mother warily. She didn’t blame the woman though. Looking after five children was no easy task, especially on September 1st when they were to make there way to the train station to catch the Hogwarts express. It was extremely nerve wrecking as almost always somebody had forgotten something, and the family was forced to turn back. They were always very late, catching the train at exactly 11 o clock, when it was due to leave.

They had even forgotten Aidan at home once. It was terribly embarrassing and Mr. Flannery had to send a rather awkward letter to the headmaster requesting another form of transportation for the poor boy. He had been a fifth year at Hogwarts and had his eyes on being a prefect. His dreams were crushed the moment he overslept that morning.

The Flannery’s were a halfblood family, or at least it was easier to say they were since Mr. Flannery was a squib. It had been a terrible embarrassment to his family and his was shunned, forced to leave behind his pureblood family to take up one of his own instead, thus he became Eamon Flannery and found himself a job in muggle London. Mrs. Flannery was a witch, also born into a pureblood family, however they were never very possessed by the though of continuing a pure bloodline. She married Eamon on her nineteenth birthday.

A few years ago, however, something unusual happened and Mr. Flannery no longer had his job. They adults never fully understood what had happened, and couldn’t explain the strange changing of events. Muggles went missing and even his old work office seemed to have vanished. It was if a part of his life had been removed. The children weren’t affected very badly, however Pad did fall terribly sick for a couple of days. Things were disorienting and not quite like it was, but completely unexplained. Mr. Flannery soon was hired for another small company, but with the war looming over their heads, he feared that he might be called to the army.

The strange event was soon forgotten.

Murtagh was born first followed quickly by Lorcan. Both boys were sorted into Hufflepuff and graduated with ridiculously high N.E.W.T. They had both graduated a few years back and now rarely visited home. Apparently Murtagh had become an Unspeakable – whatever that was – and Lorcan was studying magical creatures in Bulgaria, he married a half veela woman and were expecting. Mrs. Flannery was thrilled by the idea of being a grandmother while Mr. Flannery complained that he was much too young to be a grandfather.

Aiden was born next, now entering his seventh year. He was still disappointed that he had never been chosen as a prefect and often moped around whining about it. He was a Ravenclaw and lived up to his houses expectation. His head remained in the books almost always, and Jude swore that he hadn’t had a social life since his second year in Hogwarts, when a Slytherin flushed his wand down the toilet. Padraic was a Gryffindor and probably one of the loudest children in the Flannery household. Kyra suspected that he currently had three girlfriends and was dangerously close to having a fourth.

Then there was Jude and Kyra, the only girls in the family currently, they suspected that Mrs. Flannery was yet again expecting, it was a miracle she was still fertile after producing so many children. Jude was surprised that her father had managed to produce enough funds for the family, however suspected that Grandfather Emmett was somehow involved. Mums side was undeniably rich and didn’t seem to mind helping out with the school fee’s.  Jude was the older twin, born three minutes before Kyra.

And last was little Finn. He was now starting his second year.

Pad, still furiously rubbing his forehead, quickly got tuck into his breakfast while Jude glanced at her plate queasily. Mum didn’t often burn the food, but she dare not complain unless she wanted a pot thrown at her. Finn and Aiden soon entered the kitchen, Aiden already dressed in his Hogwarts robes while Finn looked as though he had just woken up. Mrs. Flannery filled their plates before storming upstairs to take the curlers out of her hair.

“Pad, whatcho gonna do now about them girls?” Asked Finn through a mouthful of charred bacon and runny eggs. He seemed unaware that the food had indeed been burnt terrible, chewing away happily. Kyra snickered slightly nudging Jude as Pad turned a bright shade of crimson.

“Er, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Oh sure-” Started Jude, “Everyone knows, you might as well come out with it Paddy.” She leaned forward, eager to hear what her brother would say. Aiden gave a tut before getting up and putting his plate in the sink.

“Well, I for one hope they find out. Those girls are going to unleash hell on you, although you do deserve it.”

“Shut up, Francis” Aiden, furious by being called his second, and terribly girly, name, stormed upstairs with his nose almost touching the ceiling.

The trip to the train station was chaotic. They were forced to go back three times as Pad forgot his wand and then Kyra remembered that she hadn’t taken her owl, before Mrs. Flannery swore she forgot to lock the door. After that, they rushed towards the station in a terribly slow station wagon filled with much too many passengers. At long last all five children were safely through the barrier and into the train.

And nothing had been left behind.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: Ravenclaw

Personality: She’s wittier then a woman should probably be and uses sarcasm as a first language, offending more people then she means too. She can be ruthlessly mean when she’s ticked off but isn’t exactly a bad person. She’s got a decent sense of humor and would probably make fun of your name rather then your blood statues. Jude is absolutely brilliant in the classroom, answering questions regularly and handing in assignments with ease. However, she can be rather careless and tends to slack of ever so often.

Appearance: Light skin with blonde hair reaching down to her waist. She’s quite pretty with a petite frame and tiny waist. Jude has shockingly blue eyes and dark brows often curved in a frown. She tends to burn a bit more then other students in the sun, often looking more red then tan. She resents her height and wears heels to try and appear bigger.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
Please reply to one of the Sample Roleplays below.

The Quidditch game was a disappointment. Her house had not played, however she wasn’t particularly fond of the Slytherin’s winning the cup either. Bad luck, she almost pitied the boy who had lost the game for the lions. He’d probably be receiving glares from half the school. She wouldn’t be surprised if he failed to show up at all next year.

The blonde enjoyed Quidditch every now and then, even going as far as to playing, however she never took winnings and losses seriously, there was much more important things to worry about. O.W.Ls for one.

She shut her book before exiting the library and started towards the main hall. Her stomach growled softly, reminding her that she hadn’t eaten since breakfast. Jude had been so occupied in the library that anything else had been forgotten, until of course her stomach started complaining loud enough for the students beside her to hear.

Which was of course, embarrassing.

She turned a corner before pausing as footsteps passed her quickly. Whoever it was had almost knocked her off her feet! Irritated, she turned towards him. She decided not to think much of it until she realized that she had left her quill and parchment in the library.

Sighing and turning quickly on her heel, she trotted towards it, unaware of the boy in front of her.

"WHAT! Haven't you ever seen a loser before? Why don't you just take a picture!"

She stopped hastily, eyebrows raised.

So, it was the little twit who dropped the quaffle.

“I wouldn’t want to waste my film on you, get lost and next time, don’t go rounding on other students when you simply cant control your anger.”

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:

She was rather fond of Quidditch. She had played at Hogwarts and Murtagh had taught her a few tricks when he cam to visit. Apparently he was quite the Quidditch star in his days. It was strange thought that he didn’t particularly like highs, mum had said that he had fallen once and almost died, so she didn’t really blame her older brother.

However, buying a broomstick worthy for playing in her house team wasn’t exactly in her budget. Mum and Dad hardly had the funds to pay for new robes, never mind a broomstick. The newest model was almost hundreds of galleons and much too expensive. She had seen a few students from her class prancing around with the latest model. She hardly felt comfortable prancing around with her old cleansweep was hardly something to be proud about.

She had made her way to Godric Hollow after a quick visit to a sweet shop. Kyra had stayed behind to find a boy or something, she didn’t really care. Boys weren’t exactly her specialty, in fact, she preferred simply having them as mates then anything else. Kyra was probably one of the only, well, girly girls that she got along with. Thank Merlin for Kyra or Jude would be hopeless at make up.

She trailed off, admiring the young Quidditch players until she heard someone nearer, and on the ground, call out.

"You!"

She raised a slim brow, “Yea, tyke?”

"...Do you want to play?"

She glanced at the little girls toy broom, “Okay. You’re brother over there giving you some trouble? Mind if we cause a little mayhem ourselves?”

She winked.
