Born to poor Russian laborers, Anatoly quickly became disillusioned with the Tzars of Russia. When the people began leading a revolution against the Bourgeoisie Anatoly gleefully joined in. Anatoly was too poor to attend any kind of proper schooling, as a result anything he wanted to learn, he would have to learn himself. However as the revolution progressed, tragedy struck Anatoly in the year of 1924, not only did he loose his favorite uncle, but his wife was killed as a result of the power vacuum left by his uncles death. Anatoly left Russia behind, and moved to England, because at the time it was the center of wizarding power.  Since the day his wife died, Anatoly has not shaved, the only reason he stayed clean-shaven was because it pleased his wife. Now without his wife, looking at his unshaven face, only made him think of how much he missed her. Without the warmth of his wife's love, Anatoly had become a cold and emotionally distant man. Since he is particularly old, he walks with a cane,  that happens to to have a socket for him to insert his wand.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Anatoly looked at the girl lying on the ground in pain, could she yelp a little more quietly, she was giving him a migraine.  While there was a part of Anatoly that felt some sympathy for the girl, it was a part of him he always kept in the passengers seat. What would Anya say? a part of his brain nagged him, of course Anya would help she was just that kind of woman.

"Allright malen'kaya devochka" said Anatoly reluctantly walking up to her "I help you". Anatoly walked up to the girl and offered her his cane so that she could help herself get up. Anatoly would help her out, but he was almost 60 and probably didn't have the body strength in order to help her up .  Anatoly only understood about every other word she was saying, but he given that she was clearly in pain and mentioning her heel, he figured there must have been some kind of correlation.

"For record" said Anatoly "I don't want  any, thank you, or any present, I just want annoying devochka off road, so I can enjoy walk in peace." This of course was completely false, Anatoly saved her because he felt concerned for her. However Anatoly had an image to maintain as the cities cankerous old hermit who's english left much to be desired.
