Biography: (100 words minimum.)
Sofia was just a baby when she lost her mother. Sometimes she thinks she remembers her when a wave of sleep is just about to peak.

(--she remembers grabbing soft blonde curls, musical laughter, and hums of I love yous. She remembers crystal blue eyes, lips that pressed onto her temple, leaving behind the smell of pineapple and bubblegum. She remembers gentle swaying from seldom being set down--)

But then the wave of sleep crashes down, and she’s never sure if it was all just a sweet dream.

Despite losing her mother and having a father that she eagerly waited for at the window every Christmas and Birthday, only to be let down, life was not bad for Sofia. She had about a big brother and about a thousand cousins and aunts and uncles that loved her like she was their own. She was tucked under wings and drowned in affection.

There was very little to complain about. After her mother was killed, she stayed first with Auntie Sere and then with Uncle Corvus, who gave her all the love and attention she could need. And when Auntie Athena started having babies of her own, it was almost like becoming a big sister! And she loved her little siblings, too.

All that love, but sometimes she just felt out of place. Like she didn’t quite belong or fit in. She couldn’t explain it, even to herself.

Maybe when she was older, she’d be able to understand better. For now, she just tried her best.

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?”

Roleplay Response:

Sofia held tight onto Will’s fingertips. The park was a very big place, and she was afraid of getting lost in it and losing her brother forever. The thought of that was enough to break her heart into a million pieces, so she held on even tighter while she stooped down to pick a dandelion from the grass.

Giggling, she sniffed the flower before tucking it into her hair, where the bright yellow stood out against the red.

And when a girl shouted in her direction, she slipped behind Will and dipped her head out to sneak a look at her. She didn’t like it when people yelled, but it seemed that the girl didn’t mean any harm by it. She’d probably just wanted attention. And Fia could understand that.

“Well…” Sofia said, wiggling uncomfortably from foot to foot. She took her time answering, hoping the girl wouldn’t start yelling again. But finally, she gave a little nod of her head. “Okay, sure.”

Almost reluctantly, she wiggled her fingers loose and then walked forward towards the girl.
