Biography:
The history of the Tildens is only mildly interesting, for their wealth and power has mostly been lost over the generations they’ve resided in Merseyside. They’re not poor by any means, but they are certainly not thriving like a certain mother of seven believes they should be.
In fact, if she plays her cards right, her eldest daughter’s marriage will catapult them back to where she they belong. Until then, however, that same mother of seven from a prominent Chinese family lives with her less impressive Tilden husband and their small army of daughters in the delightful wizarding quarter of Port Sunlight. It is quaint and quiet and thanks to an impressive collection of charms and transfigurations, the exterior of their Tudor house is quite deceiving compared to what is on the inside. Having seven daughters, you see, requires a lot of room.
But this isn’t actually about the mother of seven. This is about Elspeth, the sixth daughter of the seven and a sixteen year old girl that demands to be seen. Rather than inheriting her mother’s sharp edges, she came out with what looked like two juicy peaches for cheeks, earning her the name Chinese name Táozi. Growing up, she soon earned the nickname Táotáo, meaning torrential, which perfectly suited her temperament once the seventh and final child arrived in the form of Dodie -- also named Qiqi. No longer being the baby, she resorted to whatever means necessary for attention and affection and quickly learned that being mischievous had way better odds than being perfectly behaved.
Elspeth received the same traditional upbringing as her sisters, though hers differed in discipline. Due to the sheer number of girls living under one roof, Elspeth could often be an afterthought, but as she has gotten older she has realised this was a blessing as well as a curse. She could push boundaries and get away with things the others couldn't, lead the life she wanted rather than the one she was expected to.
Unfortunately, with that came the sudden realisation that she might not want her family's life at all.

Option 2:
That rat of his was in for it now.
The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.
Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.
Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.
Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.
The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.
As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.
"You blasted rat! Where are you?"
He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.
Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.
Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."
Elspeth had been flipping the pages of a Transfiguration textbook when she heard a disturbance near by. She looked up with a frown, top lip curling slightly as she sought out the source from the comfort of her thick woollen blanket.
"You blasted rat! Where are you?"
Ah, of course. Another day, another pet lost. She exchanged a knowing look with Asva.
It wasn't at all unusual, especially when it came to rodents. Of course, Elspeth would never be so reckless and irresponsible herself, but she wasn't surprised to see another kid tearing apart the gardens. She sniggered and rolled her eyes, but before she could draw her attention back to her book, a pair of eyes met hers.
"Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."
The look of amusement soured and Elspeth
"Nothing at all." She responded with a quirk of her brow, "It's just that I've heard the groundskeeper has been laying traps. You should hurry before --"
"Tilly!" Her friend snapped.
"What?"
