Biography:

If Bianca hadn't been born, her parents' life would have been much easier.

Edward Carstairs, her father, was a pureblood from a well known wizard's family original from Scotland,  that had moved their residence to London a few generations ago, famous for being skilled lawyers. He was twenty and working on the ministry of magic when he met his future daughter's mother, he had decided to go with some friends to Italy, to have some fun before he had to marry his fiancee. There he met Diana Angelo on a pub, she was a muggleborn, an aspiring pianist with many dreams on her mind, too beautiful and naive for her own good, she always expected the best from people. The following day he returned to England, and nine months later Bianca was born.

She was born in Florence, city in which she lived for a few years, after giving birth to her, her mother weakened, she barely had money to pay the rent of her rusty apartment, and she had a new, small mouth to feed. She was very weak, in the end what at first was a bad cold -she thought she would recover -turned to be her death sentence, it all happened when Bianca was six, she held her hand until the very end, not wanting to let go the only thing she had, that event still haunts her mind, she remembers that day way too clearly.

Three persons were needed to pull her away from her mother's side, the fact that she even managed to bite one of them made her very proud.

She was carried to London by a friend of her mother, her last wish had been a better life for her daughter in England, there she was left on Hogsmeade's children home, without nothing but an old bag with her belongings. At first it was very difficult for her to adapt, the people in that place spoke a foreign language she barely understood and they were completely different from the people of her dear Italy, they were colder and darker, so she became colder too. Slowly the happy, rebellious girl turned to be more sceptical, although still she was the same girl that loved poetry, fairy tales and thinking about knights in shining armours that would save her from her own mind, like her mother she was too naive and too dreamy for her own good.

During her years at the orphanage she kept playing the piano -her mother had taught her the basics- although she liked the instrument she preferred the brushes and pencils, drawing was her way of forgetting about her parents that for very different reasons had decided to abandon her. She became interested in science as well, a unknown field full of complex and bizarre equations, she was too curious, she wanted to know and understand everything.

When her Hogwarts letter arrived she couldn't have been more excited about it, from what she had heard the castle was a fantastic place, maybe a place she could consider her true home one day. During her first four years she spent her time either painting or exploring the huge castles when she wasn't on her classes, enjoying every second of her new life. Everything was going as smoothly as ever until her fourth year, on Christmas she received a letter from an unknown woman called Alice Carstairs, it seemed that even though his father was a fantastic lawyer he was not a good liar, and he ended telling his wife about that girl that should have never been born, the letter was short, her father -that man she had never met- had died on a accident while he was horse riding. That was the first and last time she heard from her dead father and from his wife.

The news caught her by surprise, she was not sad, but she was angry, angry because since those Christmas she was truly an orphan, knowing that she had a father somewhere had always comforted her. That realization began changing her slowly, making her rely more on her art and sharp tongue than ever, and the naive, sweet Bianca became darker.

House Request: Gryffindor

Personality:

Bianca is a free spirit, she never gets very attached to neither places or objects, she likes going on adventures and doing slightly dangerous things, dare her to do something and she'll do it no matter what. She never thinks about the consequences of her actions or words, she's blunt and rebellious, her mind is always buzzing with activity as well as her body, the only way of making her calm down is putting a book on her hands. She never misses an opportunity to make some snarky remark about someone if the situation calls for it. People she's not very close with cannot always expect the best from , she has a biased perception of the concept 'loyalty' although if someone wins her trust she would fiercely defend them no matter what.

While on the outside she's rebellious and even reckless, in the inside lays a calmer soul that loves art and books. Books are the only thing that can make sit still, she's so curious that normally ends being insufferable annoying, she's always questioning everything. She loves mysteries, she likes making people believe her to be a mysterie, something unreachable that only a few privileged ones can have the chance to meet, she acts that way to cover her insecurities, thinking that maybe she's not good enough or smart enough freaks her out.

Sample 2

Bianca liked flowers, but not in an annoyingly girly way.

She found them to be aesthetically perfect, symmetrical with bright different colors, they were small masterpieces, in her opinion flowers should deserved more attention, dreamy girls with cheeks tainted with red normally paid more attention to the young gentleman that had given it to them than to the flower itself.

What a pity, most flowers were far less infuriating than boys.

With an old sketch book and pencil on hand the girl tried to capture the essence of the flower on the paper, drawing the flower was easy, but giving it life not so much. Frowning she scoffed in frustration, closing the book after a few attempts of trying to do such a thing, she would try again in a few hours.

Standing up she brushed the dirt away from her skirt.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

With an arched eyebrow the girl scanned her surroundings, where the words directed at her, and if they were, who dared to say such a thing? The word 'rat' was not exactly the kind of compliment that made her smile. After a few seconds she spotted a boy that seemed to be looking for something... a rat she guessed by his previous words, which now she knew were not directed at her.

"Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

The tiniest of the smirks had appeared on her face after he had sneezed, she shrugged at his words. "The question is, can I help  you with something?" The girl asked in a tone of voice full of amusement.

"What are you looking for? A rat..." She scanned the boy once more. "... or maybe your dignity?"
