Name: Elena Jones
Birthday: 6 November
Hometown: London
Bloodline: Unknown
Magical Strength (pick one): Divination
Magical Weakness (pick one): Conjuring & Summoning
Year (pick two): First Year (preferred), Second Year
Biography:
Elena "EJ" Jones grew up in post-war London, her parents died at some point during the blitz, but she was too young to remember anything much about them. Having nobody to care for her, she hopped from place to place, drifting around the houses of the people in her neighbourhood. In the end she didn't get to know anything about her parents other than bits and pieces her neighbours remembered.
EJ showed her first signs of accidental magic at age seven when she mended her mother's necklace after it was accidentally broken. Elena thought at first it was a miracle from God, but when she accidentally pulled a book off a high cabinet later the girl realised it was definitely something that came from her and not a higher power.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Nothing I can think of yet.
House Request: Gryffindor or Slytherin
Personality: Elena has a fierce independent streak, not wanting anyone to tell her what to do. She's loyal to the people she cares about and can be seen as overly competitive at times. Most people who meet her would call her wise or sad, sometimes both, although anyone that disliked her would call her disrespectful.
Appearance:
EJ has bright red hair, rich brown eyes and the pale skin of her Irish ancestry. Elena used to dye her hair black because family friends would often say she looked like her mother, but after a while she stopped bothering and let it return to its natural colour.
Elena almost always has a few bandaids on her arms from scrapes she picked up while climbing up the sides of a building she used to sit up on. She also likes to draw little shapes on her arms when she's sad, so often has a musical note or flower on her wrist.

Option 2:
There was a certain kind of joy to be had sitting among flowers.
Making daisy chains in the grass wasn't a pass time the girl had really known about, having been from London, but it'd caught on with her quickly as she went outside the castle more and more. She was having a good time of it too, until someone decided to shove their face into the flowerbeds screaming bloody murder about some kind of escaped pet.
At the start, Elena hadn't been sure if she wanted to help out with the rat, sometimes it was better to let someone do something alone, given that it helps them learn something new, but sometimes it was good to make a friend. Then she was accused of being rude, which spurred her into action, better to be polite than to just sit around grumbling about your mistreatment at the hands of some random fifth year that'd just lost a beloved pet. It was always stressful if you couldn't find the things you loved.
"I'm sorry, wasn't meaning to be rude." EJ smiled a little sadly, not sure if talking to someone she'd already managed to offend was going to go very well for her, "I was more just wondering if you wanted any help with that critter of yours?."
