Biography: (100 words minimum.)
For the most part, Apollo thought being a twin was mighty convenient. Of course there were annoying parts, like how Artemis always uncannily managed to find him when they played Hide and Seek. Or how Artemis constantly woke him up at five in the morning with some hairbrained plan she wanted his help with. Or how she never slept in the bottom bunk, even when it was his turn on the top.

But for the most part, being a twin was pretty cool, in his 7-year-old opinion. After all, he could always find her, too, when it was his turn to seek, and he liked constructing the elaborate traps that Artemis dreamed up, and (though he’d never admit it to her aloud) he felt safer, too, when she joined him on the top bunk.

Being a twin meant he had a built-in best friend. Even if she was a pest, Pol could always count on Temmy when dealing with their parents or siblings or cousins. Temmy watched out for him with her single minute more of worldly knowledge. Having Temmy meant he’d never be alone when he wanted to explore all the secret spaces on the farm, and it was much easier to wrangle and ride a goat with two people. They could tag-team chores. They could corroborate each other’s lies when no one wanted to fess up to who’d made a mess of Aphrodite’s closet.

Having a twin had been a way for quiet, creative Pol to have a voice when his just wouldn’t squeak up loud enough, for Temmy was loud enough for the both of them. He’d never felt beholden to her whims, and instead their vast differences seemed to compliment each other, and despite all the screeching tantrums their disagreements produced, it was their collaborations that he knew could move mountains.

Because Pol knew that Temmy needed him, too. Without him, she’d probably burn the world down, while with him she could direct her fires with focused precision where they needed to be. Separate, the twins were sporadic messes, but together, they were a force to be reckoned with.

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
Apollo sat with his chin on his hands watching Temmy draw something in the sand. It was a strange-looking box-thing with a head--no, a door? He couldn’t tell. He was tempted to reach over and grab the toy wand from her hand and make an actual picture out of whatever she was doing, because the fine details were not Artemis’ specialty, they were his. She was the one with the grand plan. He made it work.

“What even
is that?” he asked her, ignoring her complaints about how bored she was. He didn’t think the park was so boring. It was different from the farm, had great structures meant just to entertain children, like swings and slides and seesaws. He liked playing on these things, trying to understand how they worked so he could try and talk their father into building them together back at the farm.

But since Temmy didn’t want to play on them, that meant he wasn’t playing on them either. Besides, Temmy had already covered the slide with lard.

Pol’s gaze was drawn up as three shadows shot over them, the hearty sound of laughing boys trailing on the wind. Pol thought he’d very much like to try that, but all he and Temmy had was a fake wand and all the entertainment Godric park offered them.

“Pax plays quidditch now,” he said to his twin absently, “D’ya think if he gets a broom he’ll let us fly on it?”

But before she could answer another girl’s voice barked across the air at them,
”You!”

“Wasn’t me!” His sister’s wand flicked accusingly in his direction and he scowled at her.

“...Do you want to play?”

The girl had a broom, and Pol’s eyes lit up at the sight of it, even if it was a sadder version of the ones that had just zipped by. But he didn’t answer, instead turning his gaze questioningly to Artemis. It was a force of habit, even though Pol knew Temmy would never leave him behind, and when she confirmed, asking if he could join, too, a grin to match his twin’s split his face.

“Yeah,” he echoed Temmy’s suggestion to head for the slicked-up slide, “That thing is
super fast!”
