Biography:
Growing up, Kadence didn't really care much about the wizarding world. She went to muggle schools on her mother's insistance and everyone she knew, except for her paretns were muggles. As she got older, though, her temper often ruined her attempts to hide her magic, and her friends drifted away from her because they thought that they might get hurt around her. However, thoughout her life, she LOVED flying, so she spent less time with muggles and more time one her own, flying.
Even though both she and her parents knew there were wizards out there to connect with, her father, who was the one that was more important in her life, works at home writing magic textbooks and spends most of his time isolated from the rest of the wizarding world.
In contrast, her mother works for the Daily Prophet and is almost constantly travelling around Europe finding stories. When she is at home, she is often frantic for something to write about so she won't loose her paycheck or even her job, so family time with her is practically impossible to find.
All this left Kadence pretty much alone in the world. Most of her free time, starting in about third grade, was spent flying in their basement. She became an expert flier, yet fell behind on her muggle school studies.

Personality: Kadence is brave and loyal, however, she works best on her own. She doesn't hesitate to do something kind for someon, but she not the kind to make lifelong friends. She mostly sticks to herself.
She loves flying. All her life she has waited until she gets to go to Hogwarts and play quidditch, but she's not sure how the teamwork will go. Although she seems sour and hostile to most people, when someone really needs help, she comes out and shows her kindness and bravery.
Appearance: She has short, choppy black hair, and when she's not wearing her robes she wears mostly too-big hoodies and leggings or jeggings. Her olive skin is pale, and she is a little on her short wide with a round face.

Kadence walked down the hall, jumping as a rat skittered past her and into some flowers and knocking her bag off her shoulders. With a groan, she bent down to the floor and began collecting books and papers and transferring them back into her bag.
Just as everything was almost accounted for, the bag toppled again as a boy, older than her, rushed by. "You idiot! Why'd you have to go and knock it down again?"
Quite agry and worried she'd be late for her next class, Kadence scrambled to get everything in her bag, and headed to the charms classroom. As she passed the flowers, she scooped up the rat and thrust it into the surprised boy's hands.

Your application's coming along nicely, I'd just like you to edit your RP sample before we can get you accepted.
In your post, you mention Kadence picking up Hugh's rat and giving it back to him. If this were a real thread with a real player, this might be considered powerplaying of Hugh's pet. Instead of having Kadence pick up the rat, you could have her attempting to pick him up instead, or something along those lines. This leaves it open for Hugh's player to decide whether Kadence actually manages to pick his pet up, or whether it's still running away from him.

Don't think she's not a kind person, though. She doesn't ever go out of her way to help someone, but she just isn't the kind to go out and interact with people. She may have one or two friends at Hogwarts, but her muggle school gave her all the wrong impression of friendship. It would take a lot to change this.
