CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character name: Kristoffer Carlisle Vincenzo Cristoforo Nicolosi

Previous and/or Current Character(s) if applicable: All connected to Vincenzo Nicolosi

Character age:26

Character education: Private Tutoring

Strength and weaknesses (details please):
Vincenzo is quite confident in his ability to perform charms and to solve problems. An avid reader, he is happy to show off his education that he says was mostly his own doing. He is very adaptable in his ability to handle spells and is in decent enough shape. Considering he said he was a soldier during the later half of the war, it would be necessary for him to at least pass the physicals. Because of his time at war though, he had found himself being a bit more cautious than what may seem healthy. He doesn’t really talk about his past, only mentioning bits here or there of where he’s been or noting things that he’s witnessed. His military service, he explained, was mostly in the kitchens and at the end of the war, but it is very likely he is lying. His moods can be rather mercurial and that could be because of what happened during the war or perhaps some other trauma that had caused him to be such a way.

Physical description:He dresses quite well for his age, although a bit too casual at times. Dark black hair and brown eyes with thick eyebrows he has facial hair that he keeps trim. Though if you surprise him, sometimes his eyes look different…

Personality (nice, rude, funny etc. Paragraph please.): Vincenzo is a character that is hard to pin down. When it comes to his belongings and general settings, he is rather fastidious. He is the sort that likes things in a certain place and chooses his words wisely. Although his stature makes it seem like he takes things casually, his hair always seems to be the same length and his beard is always trimmed. He is cautious and doesn’t like having people stand behind him, or get in too close, yet he regularly invades other people’s personal space. His attitude can at times seem rather gallivant, as he seems to disappear from a situation or conversation in which he has found himself uninterested. He is a contrarian to a certain degree, especially if it entertains him, and always looks for something or someone to stimulate his mind. If he is not stimulated by an individual, then he will dismiss them. However, he does not like being dismissed himself

Hopes and dreams. Why are you teaching at Hogwarts?: What he hopes to get out of teaching at Hogwarts is some sort of purpose. He is looking for an identity that allows him to forget the past, or at least the parts that give him nightmares.

Biography (500 words minimum. There is never such a thing as too much.):
Born into one of the branches of the extensive Nicolosi family in Italy, he was raised in a comfortable setting with his two brothers. He was the middle child of a brother five years older and a brother three years younger. His mother died while giving birth to his youngest brother, so he found himself not knowing much about her. His eldest brother let him know how special his mother was, a woman that had tamed his father’s wild ways. There is a locket that she had given to his brother, which was lost during the war, among other valuables. His father rarely mentioned his mother, and it was his older brother that mostly raised him. He taught him manners and socialization skills, things that the tutors could not. His father was around at times, but he was mostly distant. He never remarried and always had a far-off look on his face whenever he was home from work. He grew up with tutors coming in and out of the house, most coming to teach him magic, one that taught him languages and then, of course, there was the required music and dance lessons.  He did well in his lessons and was mostly bored. He had fun fighting with his tutors.

When the war came around they all signed up for it. His father and older brother died first, and then his younger brother was reported MIA. Now an orphan and alone, he decided that he would go to his closest cousin (at least with familiarity), Asher Nicolosi-Cadwallader. He needed family in a sense to keep him grounded. He arrived just before the Hexenreich had invaded. Just when he thought the war was over… It wasn’t.

Still, he stayed and he helped his cousin at The Silver Pheonix, becoming an unofficial co-owner. He has been in Great Britain for six years now and he has found himself attached to the place. Living over the Silver Phoenix, he has a roommate which he never really thought he would have. Of course from her talk and experiences, along with Asher’s stories, he found himself curious about Hogwarts. His roommate had worked at Hogwarts for a time. Finding himself alone one summer, he thought he might as well sate his curiosity. To do this, he decided to apply for a position at Hogwarts to see if it really was everything that they remembered.  He thought it would occupy his time as well. Things had been rather stable at The Silver Phoenix and he thought perhaps it was about time to get out and explore more of his new home.

Of course that is the bare bone basics of his history. The only one that people will get out of him when asked and the only one he is willing to tell to the public. When it comes to those that know him, they know a different story. Similar in a sense, and yetm with a few more tragedies and secrets added.

SAMPLE ROLEPLAY
(Please respond to to this in third person past tense. Do not write the other characters' reactions. Only your own.)

It was the largest office in Hogwarts and, perhaps to students and newcomers, the most intimidating. The shelves were filled with various odds and ends, with a place of honor for the Sorting Hat, and the walls held all the portraits of past Headmasters and Headmistresses.

In the middle of the room sat a large desk. Everything was in order, for the current occupant had always despised a messy desk. It was the sign of a messy mind, and she had always favored neatness.

A clock sat on the desk, which currently showed the time to be 2:05. The meeting was supposed to begin at 2:00 precisely.

Along with order, Anneka valued punctuality. She was a very busy woman these days. Even during the summer, she had a number of matters to attend to. Interviewing and hiring staff was only of those matters. The newest potential member of her staff wasn't making a good impression.

She paced the room, black heels clicking against the stone floor. When the door finally opened, Anneka turned, her expression reminiscent of a Russian winter. "You are late."

Explain yourself was what her face said.

Roleplay Response:

He was late on purpose.

Of course, if Headmistress Ivanova had known who she really had an interview with, perhaps she would not be looking at him in such a way. Or perhaps she’d know that it was pointless to make him feel like he had done some sort of wrong. This was how he had always been. Kristoffer Carlisle... Headboy, Head Editor, Quidditch Captain, and Dueling Captain. He had held all those titles, and still, he was always the problem child. The problem child always got attention.

Everyone knew who he was.

Except she did not know the man that was standing in front of her now. He had not expected to actually get an interview with the resume he had sent in. With his spotty education and references that knew nothing of his past five years, the fact he was even called in made it seem like they were desperate. Were they desperate? Or did Ivanova have some sort of sixth sense when it came to knowing who was qualified and who wasn’t?

He gave a bow of his head, a charming smile on his face, “Buon pomeriggio, Signora Ivanova.” Although her gaze was steely, he kept his face passive as he walked over towards an available chair and sat himself down. “Shall we get started? What is it you would like to ask?” If he was late, it was best that they get started then. There would be no apology because it would not be sincere. He doubted Ivanova would appreciate that.
