Biography: (100 words minimum.)
The Zaharren family is a family of well known wand makers from spain, however, Makila’s father, Haltz, moved to England in the early 1920’s hoping to escape Benito Mussolini’s influence. With him he brought his expertise in wand making and eventually opened up a shop in Hogsmead where he met his wife, a muggle born by the name of Carmella. Haltz, while pure blood, never held to the superiority complex that most British purebloods hold to and has always been quite outspoken on his beliefs.

Makila grew up sharing her father’s beliefs and views him as both a father and her personal hero. Makila was always a curious and adventurous child even since her birth. While her mother was away in London working at the Ministry of Magic, Makila would be at home watching her father make wands. From the time she could walk she would spend her days helping him in the shop and out on trips when he needed ingredients for new wands. She learned quickly and on her eleventh birthday she made her first wand with her father watching over her.

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
The afternoon sky was bright and clear of the grey dampness that purveyed most of the time. High over head, three specks zoomed pass chasing a small glimmer of light. The children squealed with glee as they chased the snitch across the bright sky.

Below on the ground, Makila was laying on the grass underneath an old English Oak tree, her chin propped on her hands, as she read one of her school books. She hardly looked up as the kids flew overhead, while she loved watching Quidditch, prefered staying on the ground. Her real interest was in wand making, which her father specialized in. She knew all the different kinds of wand trees and their properties by heart and had, with the help of her father, made her own wand. It was fascinating and interesting work matching a wand to a wizard or witch. What was it her father always said, The wand chooses the wizard? And the making of a wand was the most intriguing part, oh she could go on all day and night about wands, but alas wandlore was not a subject taught at Hogwarts. Makila had to find a new hobby once she started school. Transiguration seemed notoriously difficult, however she seemed to enjoy learning about charms.

As she lay down reading her charms book a small girl around her age, clearly furious that her brother wouldn’t let her fly with him, turned her fierce gaze towards Makila, “You!” she barked, perhaps a little more sharply than she meant, “...Do you want to play?”

Startled by the girl’s tone, Makila looked up from her reading and had to stop herself from fawning over the cuteness of the girl in front of her, “Sure,” she said with a bright smile, “I’m Maki by the way, who’re you?”
