Biography: (300 words minimum.)
When he was a little boy, Hikaru would always sit around, his nose preferably in a book as he would watch his sister, Tsubasa and his brother, Takeru play in the tall grass fields. He would always sip on the tea made by his mother, one of the women in the family to coax him to play, rather than read. It was a plain hassle to try and get Hikaru to play outside. Most that would happen is him sitting in the shade of the cherry blossom trees in April as he read.

As the boy got older, he read more complex things and stayed inside more often. School came upon him at that moment, at the age of eleven, and he was quite an elite student with grades that made his parents happy, but if class participation was taken into consideration as he excelled through school, his grades would deteriorate very much. He never spoke, even to answer a question. He was reading other material that was much more advanced than the taught topics.

When he had finished his fourth year at the school, Hikaru found himself helping his older brother carry Tsubasa back to their house after an argument that she had with their parents, and noted the sky's full moon. Ah, well now it all clicked to him. The wound, the full moon... His sister was a werewolf. It could not have been a coincidence that both happened in the same night. Now he would have more of a reason to stay enveloped in the libraries at his school till he got kicked out. He practically lived in the place now, only leaving for food, and classes then come back during any spare time.

Just after the incident though, their family had moved, and he didn't mind much for the fact that he would still have something to read with. He had the heaviest luggage, from the books that would be travelling with them, but there was no helping the matter at all. Hikaru still had his head stuck in a book.

Piles of notes were what he had to fill in his trunk as he graduated from the school, and would scatter them all over the library of their home in Hokkaido. It was mandatory to keep up a library in their houses only because of Hikaru's obsession with books. He would marry the room, if it was a person. The library was the home of the man. He ate, read, slept in there and would have to be dragged out to get him some regeneration, fresh air and a bath.

But shortly after this cozy atmosphere that was created in the house, they moved to a different continent...All the way to Scotland. There was only one Arai still in school, but their parents didn't take it into account. They told their children that they shouldn't make any friends and learn English, but Hikaru had already learnt English (along with Latin) to an excellent extent. He was the best speaker of English too, but he had never tried it out in a country where English was the native language.

Hikaru never leaves the house now, and it would be his sister dragging him to Chashitsu or his parents giving the English Wizarding money to him for a book to purchase and continues his research on lycanthropy with Eru-nii and Tsu-nee.

Roleplay:

The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response:
At the time of his departure, Hikaru had his nose in a book. He was forced on a small trip to Diagon Alley and all he wanted to do was go home in the end... Tsu-nee was really one to try and drag him out and about with Takeru. She probably was the only one who could attempt at doing such in the first place. Hikaru's nose was practically always stuck in a book, his perfect vision deteriorating as he aged and grew more knowledgeable.

The brown haired man attempted not to lean back on the wall of the store that his sister and brother would be in as he continued to read the foreign language's book. There was messy scrawl on different pages with a quill and ink from the many times he had read the book before. The side notes could in fact be more interesting than the actual content of the book.

They were on their way to the small bakery in Diagon Alley, and boy was he not excited one bit. He would probably mentally be correcting his darling sister's english in her head as she spoke to the person. Hearing the little ding of the bell, he barely looked up from his book to know that this was his sister exiting the shop she was in.

The brown haired man walked slower than his siblings as he trekked his way through the crowd of people which he found himself uncomfortable in. His fingers were strangely cold and so were his feet. If Hikaru were to describe his feelings, one would call it anxiety. Not much else could fit with his feelings, other than being straight up awkward, but it could easily be from the winter weather.

"Coming through! Coming through!"

To find a voice in a crowd was tough, especially since English was a foreign language to the Arais. He didn't look up from the complex characters of his book as he continued to take even steps.

"Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!"

Hikaru was now lost deep in thought as he patted his coat for any sort of writing utensil to put a little more of the scrawl on the pages of the book. It was one of the books he had bought himself when he was younger and had finished all his homework from school during the summer. He couldn't hear the man's calls.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!"

Just at the moment the two men collapsed, he had looked up to find his siblings. He disliked being lost in a foreign place, because it made him feel like a child... Like his younger sister. He found the box and several long strands of shiny things upon his collapsed form and blinked in confusion, his brows furrowing as he listened to the man freak out.

"It okay," he muttered, placing a few of the strands that were on his coat back in the box. All Hikaru cared about at this point, was to find his family and dry his book. He bowed his head slightly as he raised himself on his feet with the box in his arms to hand to the man, though his focus was not directly on him. He raised himself up on his toes to attempt to find his family, to not have a clue where he was going.

"Do you know where bakery is?" he said quietly. The times he did talk in English, the grammar was bad, but he thought he was better than his family at speaking the language. It was fun, mainly for the fact that he could correct them and their English. He loved doing it more on paper though.
