Biography: (100 words minimum.)
Jimmy grew up in a very wealthy pureblood family in Ireland. The youngest in his family he was the literal prince. Not only was he wealthy, he was blessed with talent in charms and his families good looks. As a result he became arrogant and carried himself in such a way that made him unapproachable. he didn't care much for anyone who wasn't pureblooded. His father made it a point to instill in his children that anyone who was not pure would taint the blood line and lesson their power. As a result Jim asked everyone he met their blood line and made assumptions purely on their status.
As the youngest he and his older brother were extremely competitive in all things. Jim swore he hated his brother and would always verbalize how much he wished his brother was dead. He soon regretted his words when a freak accident happened and he lost both of his parents to a massive fire. He and his brother were sent from family member to family member until it was revealed his brother had ties to dark wizards and witches. The last night Jim and his brother would be in the same place, his brother told him that the fire that killed his parents was not an accident. Instead he was the one who set it in hopes of gaining respect from his peers. Jim, attacked him and presumably killed him. As a result he was cut off from his family and sent to live in the Hogsmeade orphanage until school started. With his life now in shambles Jim was in a place where the people he relied on were the ones he was taught to hate growing up.
Just as he was learning to adjust to his new life he received a letter signed with his brother's initials simply stating soon Jim would have to join him. Since then Jim has made it his mission to learn as much as he can to grow strong enough to find his brother and finally have revenge for his family.
Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
It was a gorgeous day at Godrick Park. The sky was crystal clear and the slight breeze felt good as Jim sat on a bench watching people at the park. He glanced at his watch to make sure he wouldn't run late. He had a meeting with the headmaster at hogwarts about going back after a semester off. he definitely didn't want to be late for that.

In the distance he heard children running around until a small clear voice cut through like a knife,
"...Do you want to play?"
Jimmy looked at the young girl silently taking in her appearance. He opened his mouth to ask he blood type but stopped short. This was a child who did not need to be berated for something she couldn't control. He looked back at his watch before meeting her expectant eyes,
"Depends on what you want to play."

Hi Jim,

Welcome back to the site!

I've already responded to your PM regarding restarting Jim, but also posting here for clarity.

As per the site rules:
Quote
3. Regardless of how long you have been gone, your character’s timeline is still aligned with the site’s timeline. This means that you cannot simply pick up where you left off with a character; they will have aged however many IC years have passed since you last played them. This is to ensure that our site canon remains consistent and that we do not create loopholes in our timeline. It is your responsibility as a player to manage your own characters and ensure that their timelines align with the site timeline and site canon.

If you wish to write a 16/17 year old character, you'll need to write a brand new character, as according to Jim's previous accepted application, his birthdate is  17 February 1922. This would mean that he is now 43 (turning 44 on 17 February 1966) in the current 1965-66 term.

If you're still interested in playing Jim, you'll need to play him as his 43-44 year old self. you don't need to resubmit another Elsewhere adult application for him (although if you want to use the application as a chance to summarise his background/history between the last time you played him and now, you're welcome to post an Elsewhere Adult application in a reply to this same thread).

Happy to discuss further if you need any further clarification or have any other questions. Looking forward to having you back on the board, either as Jim or as another character (or both!).
cherry lips, crystal skies
i could show you incredible things

stolen kisses, pretty lies
you're the king, baby, i'm your queen
