Biography: (100 words minimum.)
Louisiana was her first love, after her parents, of course. Their sprawling plantation was enough to take the breath of anyone that laid eyes on their painted spacious white home with blue shutters.  Spending majority of her time outside, easily sipping on iced sweet tea on the wrap-around porch, Jocelyn thought her life was perfect.

Though the pure events were slightly irritating to attend so regularly, it was a part of her. Growing up in that lifestyle made the parties and the dinners seem like a normal part of life. The silk on skin, pearls clasped around her neck, and the subtle makeup to enhance the beauty she had already attained by genetics. It was all second nature to the fifteen year old, it came as easily as her bright smile.

Her home away from home was found in Massachusetts at  Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Thunderbird was her house, cherishing her pure soul and love for adventure, or so the sorting hat sung as it rang out its verdict so long ago. Active in many school activities, she kept busy with her friends and classes. Quidditch, the school paper, and a dabble here and there in the dueling society filled her schedule as the terms came and went.

But this summer was different. Her parents had business to attend to in London, dragging their only child along for the trip. But after the first few weeks, Patrick and Emilee decided that their affairs were much too boring for her, and instead decided to ship her to Camp Loki to be in the company of kids her age.  And Jocelyn wasn’t going to protest.

Adult fairs were far too stressful.

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
Why in Godric's name were they still at the blasted park?

Joc sat on the park bench, legs crossed, watching as her father talk animatedly with another man. For some reason, the wizards here preferred to do business outside in the open inside of behind closed doors, something she heard her parents talking about the other day. She could see the pros and cons of both. The sun shining above would put any customer, or potential partner, in a better mood than a dark conference room.

Her attention was set on a few children playing on toy brooms, a bit of a spat going on between them, and it brought a chuckle out of her. Even though half of her desperately wanted a sibling when she was younger, the sticky situation unfolding before her was the reason she was glad it never happened. Her parents told her they couldn't share another child the way they loved her.

(Yeah, right)

A small voice interrupted her thoughts, the harsh tone bringing her eyebrows to scrunch together. Then, much softer it came, and Jocelyn smiled in return, pushing herself off the bench.

"Yeah, sure. What are we playing?"
