→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.
Name: Simon Gale

Birthday: 1 October 1959

Hometown: London, England

Bloodline: Halfblood

Current Levels: C2D3T2S2

Current Year: Rising 4th

Year Requested: 4th Year (3e Annee)

Reason for Transfer:
After the death of his parents Simon began floundering in school. He grew reclusive and his grades began suffering significantly. His aunt and uncle were not terribly worried until they received word of his poor performance on his end of year exams. After discussing the situation at length, his aunt and uncle decided a new environment might be what he needs to get his education back on track. Beauxbatons, being his aunt’s former school, was their first choice.

Biography:
Simon was born in St. Mungo’s Hopsital just after midnight on the 1st of October, 1959. His parents could not have been happier at his arrival. Though the paternal side of his family had been magical for many generations (enough to claim the status of pureblood) his mother was muggle born. Simon was a true combination of his parents, taking after his father in looks and his mother in a talent for divination. Not being particularly drawn to divination, however, he has yet to uncover his gift.

Simon’s childhood was a sheltered one. He had two loving parents, lived in a moderately sized flat, and had limited knowledge of any problems the family was experiencing. His problems consisted of things like early bedtimes, fighting with his sister, and keeping his grades high. The last one was particularly important to his parents. They both of had high aspirations for their children, and once he arrived at Hogwarts it was a standard he worked hard to meet.

December of 1972 bought a great change in Simon’s life: the murder of his parents by Scoot Chevalier. Simon was told that what happened to his parents took place on the streets of London and was no accident, but very little else. Simon and his sister were taken in by their aunt and uncle. The new family was doubled in size from what he was used to and he even had to share a room (for which Hogwart’s had more than prepared him for), but having so many family members around for support helped. Somewhat.

Simon began to withdraw from his peers. He chose to spend all of his time in his books and studies. He had very little interest in participating in class or studying what he’d been assigned, however, and his intense private studies didn’t transfer over to his classes. His professors reported consistently poor grades throughout the year and he barely got through his exams with the lowest of passable scores.

His poor performance was cause for alarm at home. After much discussion, to which he was not privy, his aunt and uncle strongly suggested a change in schools. Simon liked his school, but he had never been particularly prone to fight against the will of others. He accepted their decision with a shrug and begun packing his things.

[Beauxbatons] Ecole Request:
Culinary Arts

Personality:
Simon is an avoider. He avoids conflict, he avoids responsibility, and he doesn’t know how to say no. He is polite enough, but doesn’t always know how to answer when pressed for conversation. He enjoys reading. Though he has a talent for dancing, he is not interested in competitive sporting activities in general.

Appearance:
The first thing people usually notice about Simon is his mess of dark curls. He also has bright green eyes and is of average height. Simon dresses just as much as he has to for any given occasion and doesn't put a lot of work into his look.
