Not at the moment, but he will be starting Hogwarts in the near future. I just missed this Student Application window for him to start this term. :(

Do you wish to be approved as a group with any other characters? If so who and for what IC reason?

No

Please list any other characters you already have at the site:

Currently, only Irene Cecily O'Conner, Isabella O'Conner, and Kynan O'Conner. Previously Anne Marie Abbott, Miles MacPherson, Meredith Norville and others.

Biography: (100 words minimum.)

"Congratulations Mrs. O'Conner, you're pregnant."

These were not the words Natasha and her husband Kynan had expected from their Healer when they had finally sought out an appointment at St. Mungo's to find out why Natasha had been nauseous for over a week with no other signs of illness. The two already had one son, Adrick, and had no plans of having any other children, due to the fact that neither were too fond of children to begin with. The couple had thought they had taken precautions to prevent another pregnancy, but apparently those precautions were not entirely foolproof, and now, even though both were in their late thirties, they were going to have another child.

Of course everyone else in the O'Conner Don sept were ecstatic to hear the news, but not Natasha and Kynan. They had done a good job with their first son of eight thus far, especially considering neither liked children that much, but both weren't looking forward to raising another kid.

Consequently, when Kynan the Third arrived late afternoon on January 12, 1942, there was little fanfare on his parents' parts. However, when it came to all the other living O'Conner members, the complete opposite was true. They made a tremendous fuss much to Natasha's and Kynan's (Jr.) chagrin. Consequently, for the first several years of his life, Kynan the Third was practically raised by his nanny, governess, and other family members rather than his own parents. As a result, to say the least Kynan's relationship with his parents, to put it mildly, is a bit strained. He is much closer to his relatives, governess, and nanny,  than his own parents.

Even so, the two do love their young son. They just show it differently than most people do in that they buy countless material goods. The problem is Kynan the Third doesn't want those things. Rather he would prefer their affection, support, and something as simple as his parents spending time with him doing parent-son things such as fishing, boating, traveling together, outings, father teaching him Quidditch, etc. than all those material things combined.

Currently, Kynan is being homeschooled by his governess in math, reading, writing, etiquette, history, science, politics, French, Russian, Irish Gealic, and Latin. Regarding magic he is being taught by his relatives and nanny, with main focuses being on charms, potions, protection magic, conjuring, and herbal remedies right now. Little time is being spent on other areas, as his parents know when he goes to Hogwarts next term, there he will be taught the intricacies of other areas such as Ancient Runes and Transfiguration.

Socially, Kynan is actually quite shy and it takes a long time for him to trust someone. He is an avid wanderer and explorer of the outdoors, and has been known to be rather mischievous when it comes to his older brother Adrick and his multitude of cousins. He has a great sense of humor if anyone is ever able to break down that wall of his Kynan has put up, and like his parents, believes that the ends justify the means. However, he longs for attention from his parents more than anything, and like so many O'Conners has difficulty with patience. He is a hard worker when in his studies, but not so much outside of them. His governess, nanny, and/ or relatives have to constantly be on his case to get homework done.

Roleplay:

Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.
Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:

It was an absolutely gorgeous day outside and Kynan was having immense difficulty focusing on his studies, which wasn't like him. The reason for all the impatience and lack of focus boiled down to one thing,  Kynan's attention was focused on the promise by his father to take him sailing after his studies concluded for the day.  Consequently, the prospect of maybe actually doing something with his father for once was at the forefront of his mind. He was so excited that poor Miss Emma Long couldn't get Kynan to focus for more than a couple of minutes inside the Lakeside town home, so she was going to try and go for a scientific experiment outside for her instruction for Kynan, today. After all Kynan loved the outdoors, typically.

Something about how the slightest variations of ingredients in a useful growth potion for edible plants could significantly affect them. So, as a result she had ushered young Kynan out of the house and off the two went to Godric Park.

Once there, it was pretty empty, the only others being two boys, and a girl on the far end of the other side of the park playing on brooms. Kynan, being shy as ever had no interest in the other kids, and instead, actually managed to focus because the experiment seemed like it would be quite interesting, plus he was outside, rather than cooped up in that town home on such a beautiful day that shouldn't be wasted. After all, there were so few of these beautiful days during this time of year. It was a crime for such a beautiful day to go to waste.

Things were going so well as Miss Emma Long directed Kynan on how to set the experiment, and Kynan's eyes were a lit with genuine interest and intrigue.

That was until Kynan was rudely interrupted by the young girl who had apparently spotted him.

Kynan's eyes narrowed at the sharpness of the girl's inquiry, and his whole body tensed up. How dare she address him like that! How dare she interrupt his lesson, which believe it or not, was something that sparked his interest tremendously. And now, the pleasantness of an intriguing outside lesson like this was ruined by a young, ill-mannered, useless, pathetic girl.

Consequently, that notorious O'Conner temper flared up as he sniped at the girl coldly and clenched his fists.

"Why would I want to play with, you? Can't you see I'm busy? Go away, now, or else!"
