Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.
Name: Priscilla Isadora Paladin

Birthday: December 13, 1928

Hometown: England

Bloodline: Pureblood
Magical Strength (pick one): Transfiguration

Magical Weakness (pick one): Divination

Year (pick two): First (preferred), Second

Biography:
Being last was not a position Priscilla aka Prissy, Princess, Pip (or according to one of the more annoying members of the household - Pipsqueak) preferred, but however much she tried, she couldn’t change the fact that she was born as the last child of her parents. She did her best to get to the front of the line and to be the center of her parents’ attention, though. She learned both German and Latin from an early age, she took ballet lessons and art classes, she knew how to dress well and socialize at pureblood events like a proper young lady should, she played the piano and could smile on command.

But she also knew where her mother kept her newest perfumes, which of her dresses had cost the most and which vase she most certainly would notice a chip in.

Where Prissy had adored her late father, her relationship with her mother was much more strained. She lived for attention and strived to be acknowledged, compliments and praise was what she liked the most, what she deserved, but from her mother she wasn’t getting any. She could dance and she could dress up, she was the baby of the family, the princess, and yet her mother never seemed to notice.

(But she did notice when her expensive Chanel No. 5 was shattered on the floor and when her blue evening dress had a tear…)

Prissy’s life wasn’t all about getting the attention of her mother, though. She had other family members too, and a most annoying and irritating older brother. In her mind, he was nothing at all like her father and he never treated her as the princess she was. In fact she was very happy when he left home to go to Hogwarts!

Or so she said to anyone who’d listen.

Life at home without Zephyrus, however, was rather dull, and by the time Priscilla had turned 11 she was waiting for her letter to Hogwarts rather impatiently.

Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: Slytherin

Personality: For Priscilla life is about getting somewhere, getting there fast, and getting there before anyone else. How she gets there doesn’t matter too much.
She can be sweet and lovely one moment, if she thinks it will benefit her or her cause, then the next she can turn around and bite. She’s ambitious and smart, and she knows it. She’s proud, selfish, calculating, stubborn and determined. She doesn’t take no for an answer and keeps trying till she gets what she wants. She doesn’t care that some things are hard or takes time; nothing will ever be as hard as getting her mother’s attention and acknowledgment, something she has worked on for eleven years now.

Perhaps deep down she’s still just a little girl, who wants to dress up in frilly pink dresses and have someone love her and treat her like a princess.

Option 2.

There hadn’t been much to do after the lessons had finished. Some of the other girls had gone to watch the older students practice quidditch, but Priscilla didn’t see the point in doing that at all. Quidditch was silly and boring. Why would anyone go and watch that?

With the other girls gone, though, the commonroom had been rather quiet, and after a while the young Paladin had decided to go somewhere else.

“Hey!”

The voice calling through the corridor didn’t make Priscilla stop. Who’d yell through the halls like that, anyway? Surely no young lady would do that, and if there was anything Priscilla was, it was a young lady. She held up her chin a bit higher and kept walking. She was no barbarian and would not talk to one either.

Not even if she claimed it was for the paper. It wasn’t even the real paper, anyway. Just the silly school one.

“What do you think about serving frog legs at lunch? Some say it’s a delicacy, but others think it’s plain gross.”

Frogs? Prissy wrinkled her nose in disgust as she looked up at the taller girl.

“We are in nineteen-fourty,” she pressed her lips together with a huff. “And last I checked this is Scotland, not some barbarian country.”

Even if the unlikely thing should happen that the houseelves ran out of proper meat, she would much rather eat brussel sprouts and celery than frogs. Frogs were disgusting.
