Biography: (100 words minimum.)Bethany Emerson has never been a quiet person.
She was the "true" heir of her father and mother's mischievous spirits, she liked to proclaim, even though she was the younger twin. And with good reason too, for Anise and Bethany were different like oil and water, for while the former was quiet and sported a perpetual frown, the latter was loud and boisterous, always the center of attention and snapping people her way with a well timed prank, or a witty remark.
Others would say she was vain, sly, that she craved an audience too much for her own good, but the young blonde would disagree, saying that she simply liked to live in the moment, and always having the attention of the room was simply a side effect of her radiant personality. She didn't care for a moment, of course, that this very statement further solidified others impression of her as a self-absorbed girl.
Because for every one person she put off with her antics, three more were pulled in. The world would shake beneath her feet, and people like her simply didn't have time for the opinions of the irrelevant.
Roleplay:Reply as your character to the following:Godric Park.
Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.
Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.
It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.
"John, I said
wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.
Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.
Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby. "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.
"...Do you want to play?"
Roleplay Response:Type your response here.Bethany huffed irritatedly and crossed her arms at her twin sister Anise, who was still not convinced after much begging and cajoling that challenging the kids in the park to a broom race was an
amazing idea. "You're no fun at all," she pouted, and sulked off to where a group of boys were flying around on their brooms, rosy red cheeks flushing with frustration over the rejection.
Only when she looked down did she see the much smaller girl chugging along below them, barely floating above the ground. A bit of the hot anger faded as she observed her with interest, from her sinking down to the ground, to her angrily throwing her toy broom on the ground and then finally pointing to her and calling her out.
"Me?" she asked, pointing at herself, a bit taken aback by the harsh tone of the girl's voice. Her surprised frown quickly morphed into a bright smile as she was asked if she wanted to play, to which she answered with a loud and emphatic "Yes!"
The blonde girl quickly glanced back to where Anise sat with their father's old broom, the one Bethany had forced her poor father to bring to the park with them. She blew a raspberry at her twin, clearly still annoyed that she won't play with her. She had a new friend now, one that wanted to do the cool stuff, unlike her boring elder twin. If this new girl proved to be a good flyer, she might even consider taking on a surrogate twin to replace Anise.
She turned back to Janey with a giddy smile and said, "Do you want to try broom racing?"
