Vaughn Hawke was born in Arad Romania in Europe December 23 1955, to Calaine Hawke and Dante Hawke. This was after four prior miscarriages and two still born; his mother had given up hope and was ready for the bad news that thankfully never came. They wasted no time in naming their child after a great warrior of his time. And if by name life was meant to be destined then Vaughn was bound to have a great life of triumph and leadership. In the long run Vaughn took well to his name because he took on the world and conquered everything he did or set himself to do, but that is best left for later in his life. At the age of six years old his parents decided that in order to help him with his social skills and so that he would not turn out to be too spoiled, he needed another sibling. This time they opted out of pregnancy and decided to give a chance of an orphan to have a home.
It was rarely seen in the wizarding world there was magical children up for adoption, they searched for and found a muggle born in a muggle orphanage. Later in the year they made the ultimate and final decision and adopted a little girl named Sienna who was 4 years old. She was born in France and later when it was her turn to go to school she was automatically accepted to Beauxbatons. Finally making it home after a long trip to France to the orphanage where the muggle born wizarding child had been found. As soon as they walked through the door, Vaughn the spoiled child that he was walked up to her and pushed her to the floor making the poor child cry. He tried to escape his father’s yell but it was too late Vaughn was punished and that was the beginning of many punishments to come. He hated the little girl that was now his sister, and he made sure she knew it.
As years went by Vaughn grew to be eleven and here came the letter of acceptance of Durmstrang, he knew everything there was to know about Durmstrang he had been taught by his parents at a very young age. So the day came when they took him to the station for the train and before he was ready to get on he looked at his dad, smiled and hugged him. He then turned to his mother and did the same, Sienna then moved forward and he simply whispered “Never will you be a Hawke” quickly he got in the train and saw her crying dropping a gift she apparently had for his departure. Durmstrang became Vaughn’s home from there on and from the moment he stood under the hat he knew that there was no mistake he was meant to be there.
He avoided going home, not wanting to see his family and especially his adopted sister. Sometimes, as he once in a while helped a younger member of the student body, he remembered that dropped gift and wondered but he felt that she had taken something from him, and the bitterness of it overwhelmed any possible good feelings he might have had towards her. When time came for her to go to school as expected she was accepted into Beauxbatons, something that relieved them as they did not want to subject Sienna to Vaughn’s jealousy. His parents tried to interest him in his sister’s life including information about her in letters but he simply ignored them, chose to stay at family or friends homes during holidays and when possible at Durmstrang. At school he was the model pupil, always good grades, exemplary behavior (with some professors, especially those gearing towards the dark arts).
In the 6th years he began to steer away from school duties and more into Dark Magic in general, it fascinated him, the power that could be gotten from it. Whatever he could get his hands on, study or practice he would try. Whatever professor was willing to teach him he would learn. His parents were moving to England for their work so when the option to transfer to Hogwarts was given to them worried with this tendency decided to transfer him to Hogwarts, where he would learn a great deal about muggles and how to coexist with others. It led his parents to move near Hogwarts in order to have him transferred easier. His parents had decided to keep Sienna at Beaubaxton because it would make no sense to have her submitted to Vaughn’s arrogance and attitude towards her. Vaughn hadn’t seen her in years and his parents did not know how his reaction towards her would be so they opted to let him be after all it was his last year.
During the summer in an attempt to make him more sociable and accepting of his new school and life he was sent to the campus, he was ordered to be good and make friends and stop sulking, only time would tell if he could stop acting up.
