The Belyakovs

A little bit of Belyakov family history: The Belyakovs are a strict pureblood family known to be cruel and practice Dark Magic. They were against muggles, muggleborns, and half-bloods, no matter how distant. Vitoria's family (I never gave her a maiden name) was the same. However, the few Belyakovs residing in London believe quite the opposite, after a muggle named Shenandoah (Shan) Bourgeon touched their lives.

Vitoria Belyakov (maiden name is up to you), pureblood
Suggested Faceclaim: Gabrielle Union
Thirty four year old Vitoria is probably the strongest Belyakov out there, and she knows it, too. Vitoria was born and raised in Russia and attended Durmstrang, and after she graduated, she married Vladimir Belyakov and had two children, Demetria and Anastasia. Vitoria was against muggles, muggle-borns, and half-bloods, and believed she was superior to them in every way, until, shortly after she married Vladimir, she met a muggle named Shanandoah Bourgeon. She was witty, beautiful, kind, and smart- a young Vitoria befriended her immediately, and soon the two became best friends. When her reletives found out, they were furious, and demanded she cut off all ties with Shan immediately, but Vitoria stood her ground. Vladimir, Vitoria, and Shan fled Russia and moved to Ireland, where they stayed for three years before their house caught fire. They moved into their friend, Kendall's home (Nightshade Manor, Rowena's Row, London, England) Shortly after she had her two children, Shan was lost during the time wrap, and she looked for her best friend for a year with Sonya and Kenny and returned heartbroken.

Vitoria was very social in her days before the wrap, but now that Sonya's gone, she mostly only speaks when spoken to. Vitoria appears to be mysterious and sometimes cold and emotionless, but don't let that bug you- she can be a very loving person once you get to know her. Vitoria is extremely intelligent, and like her youngest daughter, Anastasia, uses every opportunity possible to spread knowledge. Vitoria has a short temper and is easy to anger, though she tries to analyze the situation before she acts, she can and will lash out if you upset her. (Especially on blood purity. Given the reason she lives away from her family, it greatly upsets her) Vitoria has a fierce competitive spirit, and is very determined. She doesn't like people telling her what to do, often shouting "If you think that you can stop me then you need to think again!" Though she loves everyone in the manor, some of the others show signs of being scared of her sometimes, which she has a good laugh at every once in a while. (Vitoria, ironically, named Demetria and Anastasia after her best friend, Shan's old childhood dolls, Dmitri, Anna, and Stacy, but shh, don’t tell anyone- she's convinced everyone else that she has two aunts names Anastasia and Demetria)

Vladimir Belyakov, pureblood
Suggested Faceclaim: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
Sure, thirty three year old Russian born and raised Vladimir may appear to be a big, strong, hulking man, don't let that fool you. Vladimir's probably the most feminine of the group, which gets him lots of teasing from his best friend, Kendall Nightshade. He does much of the cooking, cleaning, and housework, and took care of the four children during the year the other adults went looking for their family and friends. He often argues with the only house elf Sonya Nightshade will allow, Vidalia, over who gets to do things. Vladimir is cheerful, perky, kind, friendly, sweet, and a huge klutz. He views the ever-changing world with the wide-eyed innocence of a child. He loves to help people and is a huge softie- especially for children and dogs. (They own two, Wasp and Tigress) Vladimir, however, is very protective of the people he loves and is fiercely loyal- he would have made a great Hufflepuff if he had not attended Durstrang.

Demetria "Demi" Belyakov, pureblood
Suggested Faceclaim: Riele Downs
Nine year old Demi's her father's favorite child, and at the same time is probably the only person who can really get under his skin. Demi fits in much more easily with the boys, and admires them to the point were she sometimes wishes she was one. Demi is tomboyish, wild, and a little rough. She despises anything remotely girly, and, ugh, don't get her started on the color pink. She's messy (which bugs Vladimir) and impulsive, the girl rarely thinks of the consequences of her actions. Like her mother, she has a quick temper, but all Demi really wants to do is have fun- so what of someone gets hurt during it or she shouldn't be doing it? Whatever. Demi's a big fan of living in the moment and always says what's on her mind. She gets along fantastically with Kendall, who finds her amusing, and the Nightshade boys. Her and her prissy, girly, neat, control-freak, genius little sister Anastasia are the exact opposites, so it's pretty obvious the two don't see eye-to-eye. (And, no, the only reason they don't is not the fact that Demi's a heck of a lot taller than her) They clash famously, especially because the two live in the same room. So, yeah, they fight a lot about nearly everything, but they're on really good terms, they love each other, and are protective of one another. So, please, for your own safety, don't mess with a Belyakov girl. They try to stay together most of time, but can't because they have very different interests and get on each other's nerves.

The Nightshades

Kendall "Kenny" Nightshade, halfblood
Suggested Faceclaim: David Schwimmer
Kendall Nightshade was born to a halfblood Rosalina (her great great grandfather was a muggle) and a male muggle. He was their only child. Kenny, even as a child, was rather problematic, causing trouble and wrecking havoc on… well, generally everything. Things got a million times worse when he began showing signs of being magical, which wouldn't have been so bad if Rosalina hadn't married that muggle, who she hadn't informed of magic. So a ten year old rebellious Kendall was shipped of to his aunt's house in France. Of course, the boy was furious, Beaxbatons was notoriously fancier than Hogwarts. He swore he would get out there as soon as he could, so he dropped out as, well, as soon as he could. He traveled the world and met the Belyakovs and Shan during his trip to Ireland. He tried to hit on Vitoria, which epically failed, but, through a lot of twists and turns, befriended all of them. Around the time of the fire in Ireland, his mother died. His Uncle Abrader, Aunt Lisa, and Uncle Kendall were already dead, and being the oldest of his cousins, he got the Nightshade Manor, and extended his home to his friends. Shortly after he married Sonya and had three children. He lost his father in the time wrap and along with Sonya and Vitoria went looking for him.

Ah… Kendall. There's a lot to say about him. The thirty two year old man prefers to be called Kenny or sometimes Ken, but Demi occasionally calls him Kenny-I-gotta-pee-pee because of an, well… accident (The word "accident explains it all) he had two years ago. Kenny's goofy and energetic. Sure he's a bit simple minded… stupid, if you want to be mean, but he's also incredibly sly. Kenny can talk his way out of literally anything, and is very persuasive, and he will stop at no means to get what he wants. He's a bit bitter about the whole Beaxbatons thing, he thinks he would have made a great Slytherin. Even Vitoria, who has always found Kenny slightly annoying, has to admit that he's charming. So, yeah, Kenny isn't the most loyal out there, and forgets important things regularly. (including the name of his wife and which boy is which) And… yeah, he's flirty, he goes through a mistress or two… alright, maybe a lot more than that. He's very good at hiding that, though… Vitoria has her suspicions, and the only person who's really found out is Samuel.

Sonya Nightshade, muggleborn
Suggested Faceclaim: Amy Adams
Sonya was born in Paris, France by two muggles and attended Beaxbatons. She found her classes fascinating (besides, she was always a studious girl, even before her time at Beaxbatons)- and a certain trouble making boy even more fascinating. Alas, in her fourth year the dastardly dashing boy asked her out- and, she still finds it rather tragic- she had to say no. Her parents had a strict rule of her meeting the boy before they went out, and, surely they wouldn't approve of Kenny. That same year, her family moved to America. Now, Sonya faced prejudice on a daily basis being muggleborn, and she was just fed up with it- so she thought maybe, just maybe life in America would be different. She could live out her life in America as a muggle, and no one would make fun of her because of what her parents were. So, she was a little disappointed when she transferred to Salem. She finished school there and got a job, but life after Salem seemed… well, to say the least, boring. So, she traveled to London, hoping to get a job at Hogwarts, which she had heard Kenny praising. She met one of her old classmates (you can guess who) and they dated, and then got married. Sonya was a little apprehensive about moving in- she sensed there was something going on between Kenny and Vitoria. (She quickly realized she was completely wrong and she Shan, and Vitoria became great friends… if only she knew she had a lot of other things to worry about) After the time wrap, she went on a trip with the others to try and find her family.

Thirty one year old Sonya, after being teased because she was muggleborn, tries not to judge people before she's met them, but she just can’t help it. Sonya's quick to judge and faster to make opinions about other people and other things. And Sonya's stubborn as a mule, once she thinks you are one thing it will take a lot to make her change her mind. Sonya, unlike her friend Vitoria, is merely only book smart, she has little to no street smarts and is clueless in the matters of the heart, a real hopeless romantic, and a little slow to figure out other people's feelings, no matter how obvious. Sonya is a little snobby, she won't hesitate to ignore you if you can't offer intelligent conversation. (Which is why it's a mystery to the most how she ended up with Kenny, of all people) Sonya is brutally honest, she's not afraid to call you out if she thinks you're stupid. Sonya is a big believer in House Elf rights, she made Kenny get rid of all the House Elves but let the Belyakovs keep Vidalia. (It's not like she gets to do much with Vladimir around) Sonya seems to be on the best terms with Vitoria, Vladimir, Anastasia, and Rose.

Jesse Nightshade, halfblood
Suggested Faceclaim: Bradley Steven Perry
Jesse, at eleven years old, is the eldest Nightshade child and will be attending Hogwarts this year. Jesse takes after his father. He's a brave little thing, though he has this thing where he has to always save the day or something terrible will go wrong. Jesse thinks very highly of himself, and is not afraid to flaunt himself off. He is caring, however, he gets deeply troubled when someone else he cares about is upset. Jesse loves to laugh and play pranks on other people, and he dreams of being a famous Keeper. The sudden change in his little brother has thoroughly startled Jess, and the fact that he won’t tell him what's wrong frustrates Jesse, but Samuel still remains his best friend, with Demi as a close second. As for the adults, he loves his father to his very core, though when he's not around he prefers to stick with Vladimir, who's willing to get him anything he wants. Vladimir likes to coddle the children, he even suggested homeschooling Jesse. Jesse considered this for a long time- he couldn't bear to be away from Sam, after all- but ultimately decided against it.

Samuel "Sam" Nightshade
Suggested Faceclaim: Jake Short
Sam, at eight years old, is the youngest Nightshade boy and the middle child. Some think his personality is the same as his older brother Jesse's, but it's really not. Sam jokes around a lot, sure, but they're more sarcastic and tend to be directed at him or some poor other person. He does enjoy pranking, however. Jesse's a bit more brave than Sam, he only does what he does to fit in. Yeah, his willpower's a little less strong, and he's prone to freak-attacks, like Anastasia. Sam has a long list of fears, but with his older brother he's learning how to defeat them. Sam has a heck of a lot more common sense than Jess. Sam used to be a lot more sociable before he found out what his father was doing, now he's more secretive and a lot less quick to trust. He's on good terms with everyone else in the Manor except his father.

Sam was downstairs getting a midnight snack. He was about to go up the stars when his father silently made his way inside. Sam, at first couldn't wrap his head around why his father was sneaking in so late. He took in his father's appearance, his lips a bit more red and he smelled of perfume. Sam put two and two together (he had grown up reading lots of books from the library in the Manor, so maybe that was why he could figure it out) and confronted his father. Sam pressured the answer out of him. The next morning at breakfast, he began to call Vladimir "dad" and Kenny "Mr. Nightshade." Sonya ordered him to stop, but Sam refused. (This put a bit of a damper in Kenny and Vladimir's relationship, but Kenny realized it was his fault and forgave a confused Vladimir)

Rosa "Rose" Lena Nightshade
Suggested Faceclaim: Francesca Capaldi
Rose was, in fact, named after her late grandmother, Rosalina. At eight years old, Rose is the youngest Nightshade. She's sweet and kind and a little shy, new people make her nervous, but when you get to know her she's a really great friend. Rose appears calm most of the time, but, is cheerful, and gets genuinely happy when other people accomplish something. Rose views the world with wide eyes and innocence and believes no one can do any wrong. Rose is, in fact, very insecure, she's constantly doubting herself and her abilities and puts faith in other people to get things done. Rose is cool with hanging out in the shadows, she understand that her parents need to pay more attention to Jess and Sam because they cause more trouble, but it does make her feel bad and a little unloved. Rose loves poetry and literature and learned to read at a young age. Rose is the best of friends with Anastasia.

Pretty much everything is adjustable, like histories, ages, and faceclaims, though I'd prefer for Vitoria's history to be the same and the names to stay the same.
