The Lapines

"Mutatio venturum est."

Adelia Roux was a halfblood in a loveless marriage with a pureblood. She had been a fifth generation halfblood, and the meeting of her husband and her had been arranged by her family, not wanting for their "hard work" to be ruined. This marriage forced her to undertake the typical role of a housewife, no longer able to continue with any hobbies or aspirations she currently had, until she could take it no more.

Under the new name 'Senna Lapine', she ran away to England and was declared dead by her family. There she did her best to spread her views of equality for those of all blood status, managing to earn enough supporters, coincidentally all women, to ensure her ideas wouldn't simply fade away when she passed. All of them changed their names to that of a flower, all taking the surname Lapine, all wanting a change in the way society discriminated against them. The Lapines called this group Aequalitas Societatis, often abbreviated to A.S, which translated into The Equality Society.

Senna never had any children of her own, but her dearest friend and the first one to join her, Dahlia, did, as well as various other members of the A.S. These children were taught the values of the A.S and where expect to uphold them fervently.

❃ The tradition of members undertaking the names of flowers stopped after the passing of Senna. This is a homage to the original members of the A.S.

❃ All the original members being female, and with them also being feminist, Lapines tend to be biased towards girls subconsciously and without any ill intention.

❃ Lapines value the arts and culture very highly, all members of the family are required to study at least one subject that relates to either topics.

❃ Children are encouraged to try out a variety of avocations until they make the decision of which one they will finally study. The age gap for the children when they make this decisions can be as young as 3 years, or as old as 12.

Please don't reply to this thread, since I'll be updating it with different branches. If you have any questions, are interested in adopting a Lapine, have ideas for family connections, or anything else please PM Rin Hunter.
