Biography: (300 words minimum.)
December Waters was six when the time swap tore her world apart. She was soon forced to live in an orphanage and began was hated because of her blood status. It sat on her chest and followed her everywhere in the form of a badge. It was like she was wearing a shirt that said "Bully me."

Life before the time swap was fuzzy. December only remembered having two loving parents, and then they disappeared. She remembered that she lived with muggles, but not what it was like. She didn't even know what happened to her parents. They began to slip farther and farther from her memory. By the time she was 8, she couldn't remember their faces. Her house, her friends, and everything else disappeared from her memory, die to the time swap and amnesia.

The poor muggle born was sent to live at Saint Mungo's. She was often lonely, due to her stubborn mind and many opinions. People thought her to be loud and obnoxious. They just left her alone. December dedicated most of her time to writing in her diary everything interesting that happened around her. One day, a nine year old December approached a healer, asking if she could volunteer at St. Mungo's to pass time. From then on, she would make sandwiches and such for the healers. She would also keep lonely patients company.

Even though she wasn't close with the other children, she was happiest around them. They were all muggle borns, so there was no hate or discrimination. Going to Hogwarts was hard. She got bullied because of the badge she was forced to wear. It was a hard time for muggleborns.

December was thrilled when she received her Hogwarts letter. She turned 11 on October 31, Halloween. After getting her letter, she bought her school supplies, and raced to Camp Loki, where she immediately faced prejudices. After the summer, she went to Hogwarts, eager to be sorted. As soon as the hat touched her red hair, it called Slytherin.

December barely got through her first year. Her second year wasn't much better. During her third year, things improved. She finally had a class she liked. Divination was the only thing she was good at. She did very well on her OWL for Divination. It became her focus, and she dedicated much time to Divination for NEWTs. December passed Divination with outstanding grades, and went out into the world, hoping to do something with her talent.

The world was a huge disappointment. She was hardly making money as a fortune teller, and December had her heart broken by q man after dating him for three months. She made some friends, who made fun of her behind her back. A broke and dejected December was walking through Diagon Alley when she saw a notice that the Daily Prophet was hiring. She remembered writing in her diary, so December decided to apply. She got the job.

December still hopes to open her own business. She has no idea what it will be, but she hopes to anyways.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Option Two -

Roleplay Response:
The smell of ice cream overtook December as she stepped into the crowded streets of Diagon Alley. People rushed past her, brushing her shoulders as the passed. It was the heart of the wizarding community in Britain, a magical place that seemed to always be crowded. People filled the colorful streets before her. December didn't mind the crowds. Sure she wasn't very social, but she wasn't shy either.

"Lets go get your wand dear," December heard a man say to his daughter. Diagon Alley was a special place, especially to new students. They would stare at the broomsticks with eyes filled with wonder. Their hearts were innocent and pure as gold. December was lacking a golden heart, and gold coins.

Being a journalist did not mean you get paid a fortune. Being a female journalist meant you were paid dirt. December didn't really mind. She was just happy to have a job and an apartment. Sure, the walls were cracked, and her bed was uncomfortable, but December was pleased.

Her financial situation was made obvious by her cheap outfit. An itchy blouse was tucked into a knee length skirt. It didn't look like am expensive skirt either. Her feet wore tiny heels, that made her feet ache. December would rather wear sneakers that these shoes.

"-my heel - broken! Help!" December could only hear part of the woman's cry. Her eyes shot over to a woman, who seemed familiar. They were both journalists, so December had seen the woman around.

Her hair, in its signature braid, soard behind her as she jogged to the woman. "Are you all alright?" She stuck a hand out to help the woman up. "I've got my wand. Would you like me to fix your shoe?"
