Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Min-hee was born to two Pureblood parents, her British mother Elaine and her Korean father Byung-hoon. She also has an older brother named Ethan. A rather happy family, there were no major or serious fights among them and all was well.

She and her older brother weren't that welcomed to her father's side of the family unlike with her mother's. Her father's family didn't approve of the marriage at first but let him be to do as he wishes. Family gatherings was something she hated the most, she'd always stick with her mother so she wouldn't have to converse with her least liked relatives. There were only a few cousins she liked and they were at least a few years older than her. Her brother was always dragged by her father to meet the other relatives to give a good impression.

When she got her Hogwarts letter, she was excited, of course. After a few years of hearing stories about the school from her mother and brother, she couldn't wait to see the castle. She was sorted into Hufflepuff, the kind house from what she heard. She passed through the years without standing out too much. As she's only half-British, she stood out most than others during her first year but after that she was like any other student. She didn't like attention so she kept to herself and didn't talk unless someone talks to her, this led to her having a quiet time during her student days.

She's a kind girl, maybe too kind. She'd help strangers with anything, as long as she could do it and it's not anything bad. She's selfless, always putting others before herself. With her hardworking trait, she got good grades. She doesn't give up easily unless it's obvious that she has to, depending on the situation. She could be reckless sometimes but she's loyal and determined for some things. With her fascination and love for magical creatures, she's gentle and soft-spoken most of the time. She gets nervous easily and breaks eye contact with people often during conversations.

Option Two -
The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response:
Min-hee had been looking through the crowd for her older brother. He had asked her to accompany him to Diagon Alley for who knows what and with the crowd, she had lost sight of him on the way to wherever they were going.

She had tip-toed to see if she could spot her brother but alas, she couldn't really tell from a distance. At the moment, she regretted in not bringing her glasses with her. She was near-sighted and rarely wears her glasses when she goes out, she hates it when her glasses gets foggy.

From behind, she could hear someone telling people to move. She had glanced behind and saw an elderly man trying to move through the crowd with a box. She felt rather bad for him and wanted to help but she's sure her brother was looking for her. She felt rather conflicted on whether or not she should help him or continue searching for her twenty-year-old brother.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!"

Min-hee had turned her head to look and she only saw a glimpse of the elderly man before something had blocked half of her vision. She then grabbed the tinsel from her head and looked at elderly man who had stood up, muttering something angrily as he did so.

"I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" The elderly man looked apologetic at her.

"No worries! People slip sometimes." Min-hee reassured the man as she had picked up the scattered tinsels and put them back in the box, containing her laughter from the red and gold tinsel decorating his black coat. He looked quite festive, she would comment. Before she could say anything more, she heard someone calling her name and with a quick glance she recognized the dark blue scarf belonging to her brother. She looked back at the man. "I've got to go. Be careful, Mr."

Min-hee then carefully walked through the crowd and managed to get to her brother. She made a mental note to bring her glasses next time.

Hi Min-hee!

Welcome to our site, your application was truly a great read and I can't wait to see you posting on our boards!

However, before I can accept your application, there are a few issues with your Roleplay Sample. First of all, at the end of it, Min-hee leaves. While this is only a sample, and Joshua will obviously never reply, we would prefer that you treat it as if this were a real thread, in which he would. By leaving so soon, you allow him no opportunity to respond.

Additionally, in the second paragraph of the roleplay sample, you slip into present tense:
Quote
She was near-sighted and rarely wears her glasses when she goes out, she hates it when her glasses gets foggy.
While it's fine to use the present tense for your biography, the roleplay sample will need to be in the past tense, as this is what we use on our site.

If you could please edit these issues and post your entire revised application as a reply to this thread, we will be happy to take another look!

Min-hee fidgeted with her fingers as she waited for his response, she felt quite nervous. If he did say yes, then she would gladly help him with navigating through the crowd and such but if he said no, then who was she to argue of his decision.
