Creon Ageptus. Marie Comtois

Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Adelaide was born in 1893 and grew up in pre war France. Her father was a high ranking official in the French Ministry, and her mother, Penelope, was a  socialite and home maker who was born in Belgium. They lived in a period of abundance for the French nation; with the muggles having colonized much of Asia and Africa, it was a time of relative harmony between the two civilizations. As a mark of good will, Adelaide was even allowed on a trip to Indochine and French Algeria when she was between the ages of nine and ten years old.

Adelaide attended the local academy between the ages of eleven and seventeen; she took her OWL equivalency in her sixth year, and managed to score four O's (In Transfiguration, Potions, Divination and History) and three A's (in DADA, charms and Herbology) while she received an E on her Astronomy, Ancient Runes and Arithmancy exams.

For her NEWT year, she chose to drop astronomy. In her final exam she received O’s in Transfiguration, DADA, Ancient Runes and Potions. She received an E in charms, Divination, History and Arithmancy.

Prior to her marriage, she worked as a nurse at a French wizardry hospital, before briefly transferring to St. Mungo’s in her mid twenties. At the age of twenty seven, and at the urging of her parents, she married Orestres Ageptus. Though initially unhappy with married life, the new bride eventually gained joy from the birth of a daughter, Persephone, about a year into their marriage. The tragic loss of the child a few months after her birth, however, put a strain on the marriage that would not be lifted until the birth of their son Creon some two years later.

Though a part of her wished to return to her nursing career, Adelaide decided soon after the birth of her son to devote her time to motherhood. In this vain, she raised Creon in a very person manner that was unusual at that time. She even went to the step of clearing her schedule of non vital society events in order to nurture and care for him. This was in a stark contrast to her husband, who had taken somewhat to a more traditional style of parenting. She would often play with her son at every available opportunity, and took to reading him stories before bed.

This gentle mother son relationship was slightly disrupted in 1936, following the birth of her granddaughter Marie. Though little could ever estrange her from her son, she was nonetheless left disappointed at the fact that the couple had conceived a child out of wedlock. Eventually, however, she forgave her son and sought to provide the best possible future for Marie as she grew up; this feeling never quite extended to the child’s mother, who was often left at the whim of the elder woman and her wealthy husband. In the end, an agreement was made to provide the woman with small home which the couple would pay for. Adelaide and her husband nonetheless maintained the right to evict Isabel at any time.

Following the loss of her husband, Adelaide maintained her villa in Normandy and was given a London townhouse by her son. She now runs a shop in Diagon Ally.

Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Adelaide smiled; the poor woman seemed to be in a panic, and a part of her couldn’t help but sympathize with her. For a few minutes, she did little more than look around and see if someone, indeed anyone, would help the younger woman.

When no one appeared, she sighed and pulled out her wand.

“No one has any manners anymore.” She said, sighing as she pointed the wand at the shoe and said “Accio shoe”

It took some time for the shoe to come to her, yet when it did she walked over to the woman with the shoe in hand.

“Here you are” Adelaide said “Nothing to worry about”

Biography: (300 words minimum.)

He comes from a long line of pureblooded Greek aristocrates. His great great great grandfather, a noble during the reign of the venetians over what was at that time called the Stato da Màr (State of the Sea) migrated to what was then the Kingdom of Scotland in 1646. Long posessing a tradition of capability with charms, the Greek noble was able to successfully bewitch the residing family in control of the castle, and thus provide a home for his young wife and children. It is within this home that a young Creon would grow up some  two hundred and seventy seven years later.

Creon Ageptus was raised with every luxury; ensconced in a family which had been freed from the prying eyes of muggles following  1770 (when the elderly Achaikos's son, Acacius, cast a spell upon the castle to make it unplottable) the youth grew up under the care of house elves and otherwise unaware muggle servants.  He was taught by his relatives the rudimentaries of potion making and other non lethal neccesities such as mental focus and concentration. In addition, his mother provided him with an abundence of tutors, and made him practice the mathematical algeorithms necessary for the purpose of her subject, which was Transfiguration. He was also taught Latin in order to better understand the etymology of spells and given lessons which pertained to dates in magical history. As an added caveat, his father often took the time to give him notes on the pronouncitation and wrist movement for basic charms.

Once he had turned ten, his mother took him to Diagon Alley in order to make him aware of the surroundings and to set up his trust fund (worth an estimated one million galleons, in order to pay for his tuition and other expenses). His trunk and basic necessities were paid for at this time; having a long familial tradition of Hogwarts attendance, his mother also paid for the basic textbooks needed for his first year. Thus, by the time of his eleventh birthday, he only needed to buy his wand from Ollivanders.

Upon his arrival at Hogwarts, the young pureblood was sorted into Ravenclaw, due in large part to his intellect. Always prone to reading tomes and apt at the pronounciation and memorization of charms, he found throughout his years at the school that he was particularly skilled at the theoretical side of spell work, yet also able to master spells in the practical realm with the use of raw skill. On his OWL's he achieved an E for his Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration courses and O's for his Charms and Potions courses. In History of Magic, Herbology and Ancient Runes he merely got an "Acceptable". For his seventh year, he chose to drop his lower ranking classes (those ranking below an E) and instead opt for a class in Alchemy. Following his NEWT's, he recieved an O in Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms, and an E in Alchemy, Potions and Transfiguration.

Following his graduation, he chose to join the Ministry for Magic as an employee in the Improper Use of Magic Office. Through a series of reshuffles in the post war period, he later transferred to Wizengamot Administration Services.

The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Creon frowned as he looked down disheveled man on the sidewalk. Whereas normally he might have chastized such behavior, he found he could not collect enough inner witheral to commit the act. The elderly man seemed to posses an inner kindness that showed through his outward clusimness, and despite his behavioral patterns and social instincts, he could not see anything more in that very moment than a man (indeed, a very charitable one, if the numerous boxes which surrounded him were anything to go by) in need of assistance.

"There is no need." said the younger man. Then he pulled out a beautiful white wand which seemed to be made of ivory. A minute later there was mere raising of the white stick, and the boxes gradually began to float above the ground and stack themselves into rows. Once the work was done, the man turned to the elderly gentlemen and seemed to utter a mild sigh at his disparagement.

"This shall never do, good chap." said the pureblood, waving his wand a few times as, all the while, he muttered incantations under his breath . It could not have been more than a second before things began to change; the tinsel, for instance, had vanished to parts unknown.

Furthermore, deep in the pit of what muggles would call the soul, Joshua began to feel another change; happiness.

"Have a wonderful day, good sir." said Creon. His voice was clipped in a sign that English was not his first language.

"You too." said Joshua, slightly taken aback "How did you do all of that? You can't be more than seventeen."

"I'm twenty seven, sir." said the man "I've always been good with charms."

With a nod, Joshua finally found it within himself to smile "Well, thank you."

"It's my pleasure." said the younger man. Then he turned around and, with a pop, vanished into thin air.
