Biography:
Born to Theodore and Amelia Mertz, Zoella (Ellie) is just one of four children. Her two older brothers both graduated and Gryffindor alumni, are overprotective of their family and friends. Loyalty is deep in their blood, almost to a fault. Zachariah (24) and Zeke (20) both reside in Dufftown. Zachariah owns a bar while Zeke is looking to work at St. Mungo’s as a Healer. Both men are single without children.
Her younger sister Zailee (14) attends Hogswarts with her, but was actually sorted in Ravenclaw, and it suits her perfectly. She's by far the most book smart, but lacks in the common sense area. She is also single, and trying out for the qudditch team next year. When you get to know her, she can be overfriendly but until then, she’s shy as a mouse.
The Mertz children were born and raised in the busy city of London, surrounded by a loving and caring family. Their father works as an Auror, and their mother is a journalist at the London Star. They stressed to their children the importance of family, and the profit of hard work. Residing in a beautiful Victorian fashion house with a spacious garden, the family has three large dogs, and two cats. The children go home every break, and often take friends with them. Their mother loves having a house of teenagers and welcomes them all as her own.
At school, Zoella was an outgoing, friendly girl, rarely shy. Never with a shortage of friends, she enjoyed making new ones. She was never one to start fights unless it concerned her family, of course. She was a good student, slightly above average, but lacked the spirit for Divination. It was her worst class, and she came to despise her professor simply for the teaching it. Charms, however, was a different story. She excelled in the course, and was often told to try to make a career out of it. It came incredibly easy to her, so naturally, it was her favorite class. She wasn’t one for clubs, though her father insisted she try something new this year, so that was her goal.

Personality: Like her father and brothers, Zoella is hard strong and definitely stubborn. She doesn't like to admit her faults, for fear it'll show her as weak. Sharing with her sister, she is compassionate and that often finds her in troubling situations. But most of all, she finds kindness an overwhelming trait, much like her mother. She would do anything for someone who means something of. Again, being loyal to a fault can get her into trouble, but she tries to avoid that.
Appearance: Standing at 5'3, Zoella is the shortest of her family. All the men towering her at least 6'2, and even her mother and sister close to 5'8. Her brothers often tease her, but she doesn't care much. She has long, flowing dark hair, falling past her shoulders. She has her father's dark features, high cheek bones, and full lips. On her right arm, she has a cluster of freckles on the inside of her elbow. Her eldest brother actually shares this same mark, and her family has no idea why.

Sample One
Girls could be so incredibly cruel, and Ellie was the first to agree. She had just overheard a pair of fourth years talking in the corridor about some poor first year wandering around in the dungeons for a dare. It really made her blood boil whenever she heard about hazing of any type. The girls would surely argue it was an innocent dare, but she could see right through it. All they wanted to do was scare that poor girl, and get her in trouble for trying to fit in. It was downright disgusting, honestly.
Ellie immediately redirected herself toward the dungeons, passing the glares of the portraits on the wall. Her shoes made soft pattering sounds as they bounded down the numerous staircases. Trailing behind her, the waves of her long, brown hair couldn’t be missed. Glancing around the corridors, her deep brown eyes stopped on a small, petite blonde just passing the corridor to the deepest dungeon. She sighed, and decided to run towards her before she was caught by a prefect, or worse, a professor.
Slowing to a brisk walk when the girl was in reach, Ellie gasp slightly when the girl called out for Emma. She couldn’t help but chuckle at herself. There was nothing to be scared of. There was no proof that particular ghost actually existed anyway. It was probably some made up story that passed down through the generations.
“Hey,” she said softly to the girl. “There’s no ghost here. Let’s get you back to your common room.”
She gave her a warm smile before slowly attempting to take her arm.
“Don’t be scared.”
