Biography: (300 words minimum.)

The world was a confusing place, Loren had to admit to himself. It wasn’t like a Quidditch match where you knew what everyone wanted and what everyone was going to do. It seemed as though he and the others of his age were destined to experience pain and loss.

He sat quietly in the coffee shop, sipping on tea and trying to catch up on the daily news, though it appeared that yet again, dark forces were at work. He had been there, had seen it first had, had experienced the loss of a friend…. friends. It had been mere weeks ago that he had heard of Marcus’s death, and the pain returned ever slowly.

But there was a Brightside to it all. He had been able to start a dream job, playing keeper for the Appleby Arrows. It was marvelous, playing Quidditch professionally; the travel the near celebrity status.  He had even been made Captain following last season, a great opportunity as well as a larger paycheck. Every thing should have been perfect, but Loren could help but feel there was something lacking from his life, something he had created.

Loren folded the paper, setting it on the table. Through the glass he could see children and their parents, witches and wizards young and old going about their daily lives. It was a warming sight, to see these people so happy in what they were doing. His eyes fell on a group of young boys standing outside a shop window, staring and babbling incessantly. Loren smiled as he though back to the days when he had been that age. He smiled because the boys and girls were standing in front of his store, his own shop.
It had happened rather quickly, but now he was reaping the fruits of his labors, well with a little help from his Father, but it had been his idea thru and thru. He had bought out the previous owners of Quality Quidditch supply, and had proceeded to make changes to the organization as a whole. Revenues had been so good that Loren was now looking to open a shop in Hogsmeade, closer to home, closer to the school he loved.

ROLEPLAY
Reply as your character to the following:

It was impossible for Dianne to stay out of trouble. It wasn't that she was looking for trouble, it's just that trouble always managed to find her. Today she wished she could find something equally familiar but more comforting.

The five-year old girl hugged her puffskein closer to her and brushed her face in its soft fur for comfort. She had named him herself and he was always her special pet. No she was certain she had never gone down this side street before. Her anxiety increased every second as darkness fell as she walked down the road. A loud noise came to her left and she buried her face in her pet's fur completely. The scared girl bolted the opposite way slamming the both of them into the wall of the nearest building. Tottering back a few steps she found a door a few feet to her right and ran to open it. What light there was inside spilled out into the darkness and she spilled into the room.

Once in, she was caught between the impulse to curl her cloak up more tightly around her and loosen her grip on it. She wasn't alone anymore but she was now among strangers instead, which was nearly as terrifying. Her puffskein had recovered from the shock of the wall and now was purring contentedly as the girl hugged it, causing a mildly calming effect on the girl. Gathering her courage, she marched up to the nearest person, pulled on the nearest clothing hem and blurted out in a loud voice:

"I'm lost and it's dark and I wanted to know where I am but I'm not scared but I am worried that Sambundeakin is scared because he's little and needs something to eat and wants to go home."

She paused to draw a breath in her nearly never-ending sentence, "He misses my and his mommy."

To explain the scared girl held up the custard-colored puffskein. Sambundeakin the puffskein, however simply purred as if nothing on earth was wrong in the world.

Roleplay Response:

Loren Enjoyed the evening, people brushing past him trying to get to those last minute purchases, the sounds of conversations lilting on the air. It had been weeks since he had been to Diagon alley, and he had just finished with a few loose business dealings. The Hogsmeade site had been a success, and he had rather begrudgingly headed back ot London to finish up the paperwork.

The air bit hard on his face as he moved towards a well lit storefront, pushing open the door and letting the warm air pour over him. Brushing off the pleasantries that assailed him, Loren quietly greeted those around him in a polite, humble tone.

He had excused himself  and moved towards a large stack of books when he felt a slight tugging on the hem of his jacket. Looking down he saw a small girl who appeared to be holding a small ball of yellow fluff.

She spoke so quickly Loren had a hard time understanding what she was trying to say, trying hard to catch snippets of info in the run on sentence. Finally she paused long enough to draw a breath, pausing before telling him that he missed their mommy. By he she meant herself of course, for the “He,” the small yellow puffskin, seemed perfectly content.

Kneeling to be on the girls level, Loren said as soothingly as possible. “Well now lassie, it’s a shame tha’ sambundeakin be missing your màthair. And I’d be assuming that you might miss her a wee bit too no.” he reached out to pet sambundeakin, hopeing to bridge a gap between the two of them. “Why dun you come over and sit by the fiare, and ill be going to find your Maither.”

What purpose will this shop serve other than selling things and being the home of your character? Why would people want to RP there just for fun?:

This Store represents a large demographic for Hogwarts students, as most of them have a Favorite Quidditch team, as well as supporting their own houses. It also provides a unique place to prepare for a match, or purchase things for the first time Quidditch player.
