20 October- Undine family house, Hampshire

Lou Undine always thought the story of how her parents met was the most magical thing she ever heard from her father, Mikel Undine but... she was wrong.

Mikel Undine was a passionate photographer during the World War I. At the time, he partnered up with his journalist friend to travel to Japan to report on the Britain and Japan allegiance. After the report was taken, Mikel thought of buying some Japanese fabrics as a gift to his sister. He went a small fabric shop near the harbor. As he enters into the fabric shop, a woman welcomes him in with a smile. It was the owner's daughter for who he fell in love. However, the owner does not consent his daughter to marry Mikel. With a longing to be with each other, Akemi Akimoto and Mikel eloped to Britain. It was like a romantic prince and princess love story.

"Are you listening, Lou?" a deep, bass voice snapped Lou from her deep thinking.

"S-sorry Dad. What was it again?" she stutters.

"I'm applying you to Hogwarts, Lou. It's a school for wizards and witches."

"Isn't that a fairytale, Dad? Please stop joking."

"It's time to show you something I've been hiding from you and your mom, Lou."

Mikel sips his coffee empty and folds up the newspaper he's been reading.

"Come, Lou." he said as he stood up from his dining chair. "Let's go my office."

Lou stood up and went to follow her father to his office upstairs. Lou waits for the door to open as her father unlocks the door using his key, and walked into the room. Mikel went to his cabinet next to his desk and unlocks it with a key. The cabinet opened as Mikel snaps his finger, making Lou dumbfounded.

"W-What just happened?" Lou muttered.

"It's just a small trick," said Mikel while taking a case out from the cabinet. "This is for you. It's my old wand and I want you to have it."

Mikel opens the case and put the wand in her hands.

"It's time to tell you all about this, Lou."

It was this day that Lou Undine learned that her father was a Pureblood. He had cut his ties with his family in order to pursue photography in the Muggle's world. It was something he finds aesthetically pleasing than taking photos in the magical world. Since her mother is a Muggle, Lou Undine is a Halfblood.

That's the start of her journey as her father taught her the life of a wizard and a witch. She learned little by little about magic. As an intelligent child, Lou was having a remarkable progress in learning and got an interest in potion-making. With the help from her dad, Lou's application has been sent to Hogwarts. Day after day, Lou was worried over and over again that she might not be as good as other kids that are applying for Hogwarts. The day the letter from Hogwarts came, Lou nervously opens the letter. With one look at the letter, she ran up to her father's office. She slams the door open and said,

"I'm a Hogwarts student now, Dad!"

House Request: Can you make it a surprise?

Personality:
Tell us a bit about your character’s personality (likes, dislikes, fears, etc.) What are they like on a good day versus a bad one? Is your character particularly cheerful? Do they hate sunlight?

Calm and Collected
It was something her father said, "the calm minds always think better" that makes her try to more calm and collected. She is very calm in situations that she experience and that she can control. But sometimes, when things get out-of-control and getting more dangerous, she will get panic.

Quiet to strangers
She doesn't like to talk to strangers a lot. She will only talk to people that are close friends to her or her favorite teacher. Hence, she will not be the one to start conversations with people out of her circle of friends. But if anyone talks to her, she will talk with them out of her kind nature (though she really don't want to have a conversation at all).

A Humble Intellectual
She doesn't speak much about her knowledge to anyone unless anyone asks her. She likes to keep her understanding and ideas to herself. However, if any of her close friends needed her help, she will gladly help them with studying, advice or anything.

Curiousity
Her curiousity sometimes sparks her naughty side of being a smart girl. She knows being curious at times is a bad thing but she just, really, really, really wants to know badly. Her dad knows there's no way to stop her curiousity until he shows her the spells that she wants to know. She would quit being curious if all the ways of getting what she wants to know is blocked severely.

Appearance:
Briefly describe your character's appearance (hair color, build, stature, etc.) What effect does it have on their personality? For example, does the shy Ravenclaw girl secretly dye her hair black because she hates her natural blonde? Does the curly-haired Gryffindor use charms to hide his freckles?

Lou Undine is quite to the petite side of average compared to the kids in her age but her facial feature's looks quite mature for her age. She got her facial feature from her asian mother and a little resemblance of her father's ears and eyes. Lou always tie her black straight hair back when she's focusing on a physical task or studying. She wears  glasses rarely. It's because she finds that it annoyed her at times when she's focusing, she would use charms to help her eyesight everyday. She is a fair skinned just like her mother.

Lou is a simple girl who wears anything nice-looking and comfortable clothes. She always wear neat clothes, occasionaly throws in her favourite emerald green or blue ocean color in her wardrobe. She would always wear a sterling silver dove necklace under her clothes.

Option 2:

That rat of his was in for it now.

The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.

Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.

Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.

Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.

The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.

As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.

Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.

Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

"S-Sorry, I didn't mean to stare you," Lou said while lowering her gaze.

She stood quietly for a few seconds. Her hands started to grip her books that she hold near to her chest hard as if she is mustering up her courage to talk to Hugh. I hate to talk to him, but I have to help him, don't I? Lou thought, trying to convince herself. Lou took a fast, deep breath and said,

"There."

She pointed towards a greenhouse near the flowerbeds while she looked at Hugh meekly.

"I saw your rat ran there. Do... do you want me to help you find your rat?"

She pulled her hair behind her ears, waiting nervously for Hugh's answer.
