Biography:
‘If you’re lazy about what you want, you’ll never get it. Work for it, and you can achieve it. Have pride in yourself, girl.’

Irene’s father had spoke many harsh but true things to his daughter but Irene felt this one was perfectly ironic coming from his mouth. Her father was very lazy when it came to parenting and decided he’d rather leave it to the Nanny to do the hard stuff. He’d rather sit at the end of their pointlessly long table and bark stuff down at her about pride, about their family name, about how lousy her mother was. Ah yes, the one that got away.

Irene was not like her father in ways (she was very glad of that) but she still had his pride, his determination and steeled mind. She was a hard worker and had reached independence at the tender age of eleven (the year she started her first year at Hogwarts), and did not mind. In fact, she loved to be able to not rely on others to help her because in her eyes it was deemed, well, lazy.

She’d grown up friendless and reclusive in Windsor; locked away in that big house with nothing better to do but sit in library and watch the world from outside. Being a complete Pure-blooded family, her father was very biased about anyone other than Half-blooded (and then he only tolerated them), and don’t even get him started on Muggle borns. Irene wasn’t like that, people was people at the end of the day and she didn't particularly care.

After being housed into Slytherin, this is where her true friends came from. She developed as a person and became less of her father’s girl. She whizzed through her Hogwarts years without trouble and excelled in her lessons, especially potions.

Can be melancholy at the best of times, but she's fiercely loyal to her friends. She works hard to get what she wants, even if she has to take drastic leaps and bounds to do so. Appearance:
Pale skinned, bright cold blue eyes, charcoal black hair. She has a sharp and prominent face. She is tall and trim, her body is well looked after.

“Oh, come now!"

Astrid Bixby’s voice carried down the corridor, the tall blonde girl not far behind. Her interviewee – or victim, depending on perspective – turned a corner and she frowned. They were always soelusive when she needed them. Sure, they would talk as if there was no tomorrow during class, but once she actually needed them to say something, they were nowhere to be found. Gryffindors.

Flustered, Astrid stopped in the middle of the corridor and stared, her parchment hanging limply from her hand. She was a good reporter, really, and she always did her best to make sure that everything she wrote was accurate. She glanced down to the quill, eyeing it with disdain. It wasn’t her fault if her quill misquoted. How was she supposed to know? It made for interesting articles, at least, and if she had misquoted the Head Boy last term as saying he had a love for stuffed animals, then that gave him personality. Astrid sighed.

A pout formed on her lips as she turned away, discouraged. The corridor was mercifully empty, though the doors to The Spellbound – the school newspaper – were ominously closed. Corbridge was a mercifully sweet editor, but Astrid was terrified of disappointing her all the same. She hadto come back with quotes.
Her eyes, blue, trailed her surroundings before choosing a new path, and she turned down a new corridor. A figure was ahead, and her eyes lit up, an impossibly rosy smile blossoming across her lips.

“Hey!” Astrid called, her voice light and singsong. She trotted to catch the person, her shoes clicking on the stone floor. “Wait up! It’s for the paper!” Her legs aided her admittedly poor running, and Astrid gasped as she came closer. “What do you think about serving frog legs at lunch? Some say it’s a delicacy, but others think it’s plain gross.”

Reply:
'Its for the paper!'
Irene gave a long and drawn out sigh and shifted her satchel on her shoulder. Should she be merciful and give the quite desperate student the satisfaction or keep on walking to the common room?
Irene halted her pace and turned, raising an eyebrow. "Frog legs? Well, hm.." she tapped a long pale finger on her chin before looking to the reporter. "I think it's a quite dull topic to talk about, to be frank. How about something more... dynamic? Scandal, secrets, or something that won't bore the reader to death?" she sighed dramatically before giving a quick smile and cocking her head slightly to the side.

Irene grew up in a rich lifestyle, things she wanted within an arms reach. She knew luxury, had friends in high places and had the lifestyle many would dream for. Her parents both had extremely good jobs; both of them in the Ministry of Magic.
Her entire family is Pureblood and all have the same pride that they carry about, walking the Earth like that they own it. Irene didn't really care who was what, but her parents wouldn't let her attend Muggle schools and home schooled her instead, but obviously brought someone else in to do it; they had better things to do then educate their daughter.

Her parents are strict, proud and very dedicated to their work which meant that when Irene was growing up, she didn't see them as much as she wanted to. Spoilt by her parents, but never saw them.
Growing up like this brought an affect on her, making her angry and rebellious, doing anything to get the attention of her parents. However, they’d ground her, lock her in her room and then buy her something bribe her into obedience.

Getting her acceptance letter was her freedom that even her parents couldn't stop, because that meant their daughter would get a wizarding education and be be out of their hair. Irene could not wait.

When the Time Warp happened, she had been home on a break, heading back home from a late night party that was being thrown by a few of her fellow Hogwart friends. She walked along the street, looking to the sky to watch the fireworks, smiling and feeling somewhat happy. When the fireworks did happen, they had not been what she expected. Lights sliced about in the sky and lamps quivered and broke. The hands on her watch broke and things disappeared. When she had got home, all watches and clocks had broken and cracked. Something things disappeared in their rooms and their modern style suddenly warped.

The next day, her parent’s had come home with a special badge for her to wear, also a weird, slightly confused expression adorn on their faces. Her parents couldn't explain to her what had happened, her nanny and no one else could.

Option 2:

Irene simply couldn't stand being in the library any more; the first years were starting to wind her up with their chattering like a group of monkeys. It was a library, for goodness sake! Did they not know the general rules for sitting in a library, especially when there was signs saying 'please be quiet'. She'd gathered her books and shot a dirty look to a first year who seemed to turn a marvellous shade of red before quickly averting his eyes.

Walking along the corridor, she kept her eyes down as she thought deeply about home. She wondered how her parents were; they hadn't sent her the annual letter yet which made her think even harder, causing a frown to start forming.
When she heard the voice, she lifted her head and blinked, registering what the girl had said before letting out a theatrical sigh. Of course, Corbridge's gang of reporters.
"What do I think?" she asked with a hum before looking the reporter up and down. 'I don't think I'm the first to be asked, considering by the look of desperation' Irene thought to herself before sighing once more. "I think it's disgusting and should be left to the French who seem to like it so much. I won't be eating it any time soon." she finished, eyeing the quill before giving a quick, false smile. "There, now may I go?"
