Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Solveig Søren Dahl

Birthday: 11 November 1938

Hometown: Manchester, England, Great Britian

Bloodline: Halfblood

Magical Strength (pick one): Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one): Divination

Year (pick two): First, FirstSecond

Biography: It had been an accident, their conception, resulting in the end of two failing marriages and leaving three children holding the fragmented remains of the only world they had ever known; the end of 1938 was drawing near but the beginning of Solveig Dahl's story was just beginning to unfold.

The only surviving child of Sven Dahl and Elizabeth Rourke, Solveig was brought up in an environment quite different from that of her half-siblings. Despite the circumstances surrounding her conception and subsequent birth, Solveig was a very happy child that showed signs of magical promise as she began to age.

Her mother, Elizabeth, was a muggle homemaker who spent her time raising three children of school age and dreaming of a life far from her strict husband, Wallace. Her father, Sven, an Unspeakable of the Department of Mysteries and childless despite years of having unsuccessfully tried with his wife, Cornelia.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.

Rats were repugnant, she had heard her Cornelia say it over the conversation of dinner one night, but it wasn't the word so much as the disgusted look on her face that had stuck with Solveig. From behind a well-groomed set of blonde bangs, her green eyes studied the woman carefully as she spoke with such displeasure and yet one glance at her father, Sven, on the opposite end of the table and she could see exactly why Elizabeth had been chosen to be her mother. Elizabeth would have said rats were dirty creatures.

Green eyes locked onto Hugh, she watched from the safety of a manicured tree as the older boy did some involuntary weeding. His clumsy feet trampling the beautiful red flowers, his sneeze jump starting her heart for the briefest moment as she shimmied from the comforts of the shade tree. Pudgy ivory hands tucked away the small tome she had been studying into the safety of the black bag running across her equally pudgy frame.

Gazing up once more, she froze as her eyes connected with those of the strange, sneezing boy. Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare. His tone sent a slight chill down her spine and she quickly shook her head in response, unable to find her words. No, there was little he could do to help someone who wasn't in need of it. Mustering her courage, she looked to the flowers he had trampled, then back to him.

"Perhaps I could help you?" she said slowly, her heart thrumming steadily in her chest and echoing throughout her body. "Are you looking for that rat?" she inquired densely, nearly erupting into a fit of giggles as she imagined the creature stumbling from the flower patch and disappearing further into the gardens. How mad the older boy would be.
