SHOPKEEPER PERMIT
You must have applied as an Elsewhere character before completing this permit.

Shop name: Thyme Dusted Scrolls
Shop Type: Café/Library. Selling food goods, drinks and loaning out books to the patrons.
Location: Hogsmeade

Short Description (50 words max): A small little café where the walls are lined with books for the patrons to rent. The bread is freshly made every morning and the drinks specially made. Though a little dark inside but the smell of parchment and yeast makes for a great place to relax and meet friends.
Long Description (200 words min):

Thyme Dusted Scrolls is run by both Liam and Eloise though they started in Boston, Mass they moved to Hogsmeade for a slower life style and to help get their children into a different school. Eloise always said Hogwarts was the best. The café itself is small and a little dark. Each table has candles, three quills and small parchments of paper. If they decide to rent a book they write the code on the spine and sign it. Once the parchment is turned into the owner they are free to have the book(s) for a month. Besides being a library with all different types of books for rent it also sales fresh pastries, bread, and drinks. This is not the place to get a full meal but a snack.  All the fresh pastries and bread are made that morning by Liam, while Eloise normally takes care of all the drinks. On weekends when the hours are shorter Liam offers small cooking classes whenever there are enough people. This usually happens twice a year. The café is known for its amazing Italian focaccia bread, pumpkin dark chocolate biscotti, and peppermint cauldron cakes but for drinks they have a lovely array of teas, a peppermint hot chocolate and sweet but sour lemonade for summertime. The café is set up with booths all around the edges, freestanding tables and chairs. There are columns that are really levitating books ready to be looked through, books line the walls and at the counter there is a rectangular hole for books to be returned or donated. The counter is also a showcase where all the delicacies are shown and a chalkboard is on the back wall tell everyone the new specials of the day.

What purpose will this shop serve other than selling things and being the home of your character? Why would people want to RP there just for fun?

It’s a great place for students to hang out at, professors to meet up at, and the towns people to have a snack. They can also check out books for free, but watch out for the fines. A unique place to visit and hang out in makes it a fun place to have, plus it will be looking to hire help for the bakery and counter. There are also courses to be taken twice a year that all ages can participate in.
